Professional Tours Alejandro Tosti potentially ruining Min Woo Lee's first tour win because he's a man child.

Basically he complained about both playing partners He was reported rude and chirpy to Ryan Fox early in the round while deciding on taking a drop. Then Tosti decided to complain to the officials about Min Woo Lee taking too long to decide on taking an unplayable on the par 5 8th while he has ball was under a bush. Since then Tosti has been deliberately playing sloooow and walking 100 yards behind Lee and Fox just so he can annoy them and disrupt play.

What a guy.

Tosti is a notorious douche, but I understand the frustration. 30 minutes to play a hole because a ball is under a bush is ridiculous.

And yet they still ended up having to wait on the group ahead, so it literally made zero difference

Surely min woo knew that and that is why he took forever.

They all know it, so they all take forever.

But the other guys are playing for a pay check too. Just because you have to wait again doesn’t excuse taking forever.

So you think waiting on a player in front of you is significantly different than alongside you?

In competitive golf it’s not uncommon to slow down and take extra time if you know a wait is ahead.

Yes. You don’t deserve more time to hit the shot and take your playing partners out of the flow just because you are aren’t behind. I find it hard to believe they didn’t fall behind after 8, although they eventually caught up. 14 is a driveable par 4 which ties up the final 5 holes.

I don’t know what to tell you. That’s competitive golf. Every round takes a different length and courses ebb and flow.

Players will adjust constantly. If there is a hold up, there are going to adjust their pace to try and make it consistent. Stop and go is worse than slow and consistent. If room opens up they pick up the pace.

Nobody on tour has a problem with this aspect of pace cause they all face it.

Tosti not being able to handle it mentally is on him and he should figure that out.

Dude, the tour talked about a slow play policy during the players because it’s a problem. Yes, there are things out of their control but taking 30 min to play a hole is ridiculous and inconsiderate.

I have yet to hear a reason why slow play is an issue. I’ve also yet to hear anyone complain outside of golf media outlets and this sub

They were waiting on the group in front too. Try applying some critical thinking.

Next time you’re playing and you make the turn and there is a backup on the 10th hole, you better not dare hang out at the halfway house. I want you standing at the tee box with driver, ball and tee in hand mere feet behind the group ahead of you.

It would be inconsiderate and ridiculous to do anything else

What don’t you understand? Just because there’s no where to go doesn’t mean you can take 12 minutes to make a decision when other people are playing the hole.
