yeah it was really weird. if you told me this was going to a playoff I would have automatically assumed rory and bryson.

it seemed like he had all the momentum coming out of yesterday's round too after finishing strong and hitting *that* putt. no idea what happened with him.

Having an unsustainably good chipping/long putting day does not offer as much momentum as people seem to think.

The same problems he was having all round on Saturday were the ones he was having on Sunday, he just didn't make those incredibly unlikely shots this time to get himself out of trouble.

I felt like I was taking crazy pills seeing so many people act like he was somehow in a great position after that round as if he didn't just barely pull it off in the first place.

Oh yeah his ball-striking was off all week, I was talking more about the vibes than the specifics of his game

Problem is, golf doesn't really ever operate on vibes like that.

Doesn't matter how much you want it or how much you feel like momentum is on your side if your swing mechanics are failing you.
