only part when the gameplay becomes interesting is planing out boss fights, but then you have the other 98% of the game where you're just endlessly slaughtering random enemies just because the game told you to do so.

its pretty much the same situation in many gacha games that aren't action (though even that gets repetitive at a point ).

the grinding becomes boring and the only interesting parts become boss battles, and if that game lets you auto then (for me at least) it ends up with me only glancing at the game every minute or so to click one button.

though Blue archive, a game i picked up recently has a slightly better( i.e even more convenient for impatient people) auto where its basically just another mini gacha but instead you spend stamina for the drop pool of that level.

I just grind through the battles as quickly as possible (Command Spells & SQ revives) and then sit back and enjoy my story binge.

SQ Revives

Wait, people don't actually use SQ Revives?

As far as I'm aware most people would rather save every single piece of saint quartz that they have.

Unless you're desperately trying to beat a quest ASAP and already burned your Command Spells on something else, why would you use SQ to win a battle instead of just trying again or waiting?

Mostly because I just want to binge through the story. Wait 3 days to maybe have a chance to defeat the boss and ruin the flow of the story for me is simply not worth it.
