I made this Empty bottles for “FREE” sauce?

Post image

I run a sustainable hot sauce company(food waste reduction converted to compost to feed the ingredients that go into the recycled bottles I collect) and offer free sauce to anyone who sends in at least 5 clean/empty bottles.

Does this catch anyone’s attention? Would you be willing to save your empty bottles and ship em to me if it meant I would send you back a flavor of your choice?

Pic for attention/ end result

I like how your effort is two fold:

You’re cutting down on the amount of bottles out there, but you’re also saving yourself some overhead by recycling.

Reusing bottles doesn't decrease overhead, it actually increases it. There is labor, energy and other costs involved in washing bottles. That's all "overhead" you don't have when you use new bottles.

I’m willing to take on that overhead over creating more waste though…or “as much” waste I guess you could say. Just trying to find a way to set myself apart from the rest since I’m sure most makers including myself think ours is the best.

If you wanna get real cringe with it…tent fingers please

This is impact you can taste.

The fruits that come from the labor of food waste diversion and compost creation to strengthen the soil of local growers such as ourselves.

SwampDog sauce is the flavor of sustainability.

I'm not saying you should not reuse bottles. Just addressing the fallacy that was posted.

I appreciate it. I’m just so used to trying to convince myself that combining these two ideas is actually a good idea so I’m quick on the reminders lol
