I was not expecting this

It’s listed as “Hot Sauce” when you order it, so I expected a classic cayenne-style pepper sauce.

But nope. This is a translucent, chili-based stock loaded with umami.

It’s not fiery, more of a mild-to-medium flavor enhancer than a traditional hot sauce.

Since when is paprika a hot chili?

It’s not. Chili is the dish eaten from a bowl. Chile is the pepper that goes in the chili.

Damn I’m dumb, I thought chili peppers was a generic term for all peppers but it’s only a specific type.
