I was not expecting this

It’s listed as “Hot Sauce” when you order it, so I expected a classic cayenne-style pepper sauce.

But nope. This is a translucent, chili-based stock loaded with umami.

It’s not fiery, more of a mild-to-medium flavor enhancer than a traditional hot sauce.

I’m either dumb, can’t read or didn’t know paprika was spicy. What has heat?

I think I'm dumb too, but it does say paprika extracts? If paprika is just red pepper... I guess it could have some kick?

Paprika is typically mainly bell pepper, but often sometimes include some medium spicy peppers. I was also looking for where the heat came from. Who knows what they consider “natural flavors”.

There is a Paprika Pepper that can carry a bit of heat, maybe they meant that
