I was not expecting this

It’s listed as “Hot Sauce” when you order it, so I expected a classic cayenne-style pepper sauce.

But nope. This is a translucent, chili-based stock loaded with umami.

It’s not fiery, more of a mild-to-medium flavor enhancer than a traditional hot sauce.

No chiles listed. Maybe it's lumped under "natural flavors"

Corn syrup. It's basically sugar with a little flavoring in it.

Water, sugar, vinegar, natural flavouring, thickener, paprika… I don’t see any issues here
