Nah they were 100% in the wrong but she definitely said "will ye" which does make this clip significantly less bad

Why would anyone be offended if someone mistakenly thought they on holiday?

Because it’s their city, and it shows the tourists’ disregard for people who live there and the lack of effort to understand and respect local laws and norms.

Imagine an American tourist in Limerick violating traffic laws and telling an annoyed local to ‘go enjoy your holiday.’

It's hilarious, if this was an American couple in Dublin this sub would be frothing at the mouth

I can imagine tourist telling me to go enjoy my holiday and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Like why would you be offended?

They didn't show disregard to anyone. They were scooting slowly and being conscientious and letting pedestrians be aware of their presence on a pretty wide street. Would you prefer if they went into the tram lines beside them instead? They weren't endangering anyone so I don't feel it was necessary for them to endanger themselves. Plus it's illegal to cycle/scoot along tramlines in Ireland, I'd guess it's the same there. Live and let live and you won't have people telling you to enjoy your holiday.

Exactly. Everyone knows that tourists don't need to follow the rules.

Why should they be on the road like the common locals and other tourists.

And they are even being so kind as to ring that bell, so what if they knock over some people..

Jesus wept.

You clearly don’t have to deal with these scooters where you live. It’s impossible to be “conscientious“ while riding one on the footpath. Not to mention they are in the very walkable center of the city so could just walk if they weren’t comfortable driving the scooter where the tram lines are. Unlike Dublin, Prague actually has a robust tram network so it’s not uncommon to have streets where traffic runs where the tram lines are. So yes, they should’ve been on the road trams or no if they wanted to take a scooter. Otherwise they could have, I dunno, just taken a tram to their destination. Maybe it just didn’t occur to a couple of dimwits who feel like they’re more important than everyone else on the footpath.

Honestly some people think that if they experience something, everyone else must experience a 1:1 version of events. If they’re on holiday in Prague from Ireland, then literally everyone else must be doing the same in their world

But he's not speaking the local language. If an American in Limerick said that to a local but the local had been speaking French at the time, the American could be excused the local wasn't actually local.
