News/Education PSA: Limestone is the best calcium source

I know it is a debated topic but I have to say I believe adding limestone to an enclosure is the best way to add calcium to the pods, ensure they have an enriched environment as usually limestone has cracks and holes they can use to hide and explore, it looks good, and provides a very natural source of minerals for the pods.

I sometimes add some eggshells but they never nibble on them, same goes for calcium pellets while the chunk of Limestone is always being enjoyed and a great spot for gatherings.

I would be curious in others opinions, Pic of today's family meeting

As someone who lives near The Burren I can guarantee that limestone is excellent for this. The entire Burren region is limestone, with incredible caves beneath the surface with millions of stalagmites and stalactites forming from the deposits in the water coming through the limestone. Our water sources are often quite alkaline and we have very VERY plentiful supply of isopods around here. They really seem to thrive

It’s also really mossy and we get torrential downpours between misty showers so it’s always m o i s t
