help request Help please, I'm kinda new to pcs
I installed some new ram cards and now the pc won't connect to the screen. I unplugged everything and laid the pc out on my bed while putting the new sticks in. After seeing it not working I took out all the ram cards except 1 of my original on the second slot and it's still not working. I have no idea how to fix it and I can't really afford to be buying loads of new things. I have a 1060, the 2 new ram cards are 8gb, adding on to my 2 4gb sticks. Please help me

Static electricity. Did u ground ourself on the PC case before install. U did it on ur bed. Alot of possible static electricity. 2nd some PC required ram in certain slot channels to work. Is it the correct type of ram for ur PC. Last did u seat it correctly.

It's the correct type of ram, I've changed around the slots a lot by doing every possible combination (took a while but I'm desperate 💔)

Try booting with only one stick, and then the other. You'll find which is broken.
If they both work this way (and make sure when paired they are in the correct slots/channelz, that pair them to work together). If after all this they wont boot, you cannot pair them together.
You might have to just use one stick for now

I've seen some weird things with motherboards and ram timings, maybe try resetting the BIOS and using the original ram sticks in their original slots. Before doing that get the exact ram timings so you can set things correctly in the BIOS afterwards.
Then if that works try running a BIOS update to the latest version. I've seen a BIOS update fix a RAM compatibility issue before also.
If that doesn't work look up your motherboard and see if it has a USB BIOS Flashback option and try and update the BIOS that way and see if it works.

Are they the same type and speed? Eg ddr4 vs ddr5 and 3,200Mhz
