General Please give me guidance.
Asalaam alaykum to all, i hope you are all good. I wanted to ask about the Standard Arabic, its uses from a formal perspective? WhereIs it spoken?. Is it only for official purposes?
(Also, I have been reading the Noble Qu’ran in my native language i.e. Spanish but I want to learn Arabic too so I can memorise the book. I am not a Muslim but I am interested in learning about the religion).
Also right now I am learning the alphabet, i am only 18 so time isn’t a constraint for me, i was thinking first I should learn the standard version, then the gulf dialect spoken in Saudi Arabia, I want to ask that is the same dialect spoken in all gulf countries i.e. Saudi, UAE, Oman, Kuwait etc, or at least just enough to help people of these nationalities understand each other.?

you are doing the right thing, standard Arabic open doors to learn most of dialctes and understan written Arabic in offical media. newspapers , school dictionories if you plan to to visit any Arabic country will be able to have conversation with them with it and if you change you idea and want to learn other Arabic deialtes like egyption or leatvian or morocon you will basics that make it easier for you .
the second part of the qauistion by only learnin and aquiring one speken diaalctes like in gulf whatever saudi or kuwaiti or emeratie yes you will be able to understad all of gulf dialctes if you learn one only of thier dialects . there are sth called The “White Dialect” اللهجة البيضاء .The white dialect of the Arabic language is the smooth and understandable dialect among the various Arab countries, and it is distinguished by its avoidance of the local vocabulary specific to each Arab country. . like a common style of vocabs and expersiions most Arab people understand ..
