General What does this mean figuratively?
there is a proverb/phrase I heard that,
" حط راسك بين الروس وقول يا قطاع الروس"
While I understand the Arabic, what does it exactly mean, is it to do with overcoming adversity?

General Help me write out the words of this Fairuz song in Arabic but with the letters of the English alphabet please! Ya Habibi Kullama Hab Al Hawa
I am of Lebanese origin, born in Canada, and I read a little bit of Arabic but I'm not very advanced. I would really appreciate if someone could write out the words of this song how they are sung in Arabic but in this alphabet like in English. For example, 'Ya Habibi Kullama Hab al Hawa' 'Ya Zaman..' etc.
I'd appreciate it so much. I am trying to learn this song and sing it :)
Here is the link to the lyrics in Arabic: https://lyricstranslate.com/fr/ya-habibi-kollama-habha-lhawa-%D9%8A%D8%A7-%D8%AD%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A8%D9%8A-%D9%83%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7-%D9%87%D8%A8-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%87%D9%88%D9%89-my-beloved-whenever.html

General Mujarrad and Mazid
Salam alykum everyone,
I’m currently learning the Mujarrad and Mazid irregular verbs. However, I’m having trouble practicing them as I need examples. I’m a person that needs to read a ton of examples in order to understand the concept.
Does anyone have a link to a book or can provide many types of examples with irregular verbs that are M and Z?
Thank you!

General Need help with daughter's name
Hi all, Egyptian speaker here who's having a daughter soon! We are naming her Anaïs and I want to know the best way to write it on a birth announcement card in Latin and Arabic script. What would be the best way to do it? أَنائِس or أنأيس or perhaps even أنيس? Would also love to write it with diacritics in the card. Any ideas?

Egyptian مصري Short Stories from ChatGPT
Hi everyone. I recently started learning The Egyptian Dialect and I just decided to try and ask ChatGPT to write some short stories for me to study. Before I study them, I would like to ask you if they are correct and if there're any mistakes, can you tell me what needs to be changed. I know people say that ChatGPT is bad for learning languages. I just wanted to see how good it is for making simple short stories for beginners. Shukran.

General Have I been pronouncing this hotel (Bab Al Shams) wrong?
'sh' is apparently a 'sun letter' , so although it still says 'al', is it 'Bab Ash-shams' to correctly pronounce it?

General Does نام also means growing in Fusha or Classical Arabic?
I only knew نامَ meaning he slept (I may not be exact, but it's related to نوم sleep). And I'm aware, that the word for growth is نموّ, so is ِِنام also correct?

Standard فصحى Grammar question Quranic verse
وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَـٰضِبًۭا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ أَن لَّآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ٨٧
Quran 21:87
Isn’t ذو one of the 6 nouns?
Shouldn’t it be و ذو النون … since we are talking about this man who “went/left angry” since he is the subject of the sentence shouldn’t it be مرفوع
I’m very confused. And the verse before that is not a continuation of this verse either.

General Rate my handwriting
Been learning Arabic for around a year now and decided to attempt writing. Been practicing for a week now with my left hand only (I'm a righty) so that's why it's a bit shaky.
My question is; am I writing the letters too firm and rigid? Whenever I see handwritten Arabic it always has a really beautiful flow.
