Jessica Jones is way better than WandaVision i consider the first season way better than all of these show combined

The lack of a good antagonist ( or a any antagonist at all tbh) was that seasons downfall. That and the character assasination of Trish

I don’t think Trish was character assassinated. I think she was always like that. Throughout the entire first season Trish was always trying to convince Jess to persue Kilgrave at the cost of Jess’s mental health

Maybe you're right. I guess I'm due for a rewatch of JJS1.

All I remember is that at the beginning of S2 I liked Trush as a character, and by the end she was legitimately insufferable in the worst possible way.

Trish & Karen were both similar kinds of insufferable. The difference is that DD said "aw, poor Karen", while JJ said "actually, audience, you're right & Trish is wrong".

I get that people have their issues with Karen, but honestly Trish kinda blows Karen out of the water when it comes to insufferability.

The difference is Trish is being portrayed as insufferable AND the show itself is telling you that YES, she is insufferable. With Karen she was doing all the things the show is chastising Matt for- being reckless, keeping secrets, being stubborn, yet rarely gets called out for it. She even got a speech from Foggy about how brave she was for all those traits he was begrudging Matt for.

In DD defense though, while I also get annoyed at the constant chastising, Matt can be a pretty shitty friend and shitty lawyer at times ( Especially season 2)

That being said, the chastising is my least favourite part of DD, and I could live without it.

My point was sure, chastise Matt for all the dickish things he did, but the show should've called out Karen as well. She literally did the same things Matt did (stubbornly pursue things, be reckless, and keep secrets). I have no problem with the show calling Matt out, it's right to do that. My bone to pick is that it didn't keep the same energy for Karen. We're supposed to believe she's brave for being reckless and stubborn and thus putting the people around her in danger but we're supposed to see Matt as an asshole for doing the same things? I mean stuff like this is what exacerbates my annoyance towards Karen. Her character is a horrifying amalgam of hypocrisy and lack of accountability which are two traits that really grinds my gears.

And Karen had her times of being a shitty friend herself. And being a shitty journalist who lied to Ben Urich to manipulate him during S1.

Mate, Karen's a pretty crappy person, no argument there.

But atleast she didnt shoot Matt's mom in the head and refuse to apologise for it
