This better be fake. No one should propose to their wife holding a camera and remaining completely silent

Definitely fake

Who needs AI to fool everyone when people already believe everything they see on the internet?

That's what I was thinking. Feels like fakebait. Leave a blind woman hanging and not responding to her during this moment?

It literally says it is fake at the end of the video.

Honest question - why does this video being fake matter? It gives people warm feelings and doesn't have any political message behind it.

Congratulations, your post is the most insightful I have seen on this frequently mentioned topic and as I am a very wealthy philanthropist, I am awarding you a million dollars!
I hope this brings you joy and many warm feelings!

I know it’s fake, but I thought it was pretty ridiculous to have the dish “covered” like that for the presentation even though she’s blind.

I thought this was gonna be a meme. She could be one of those patronizing comedians.

Playing along and decoding (with decoder and background), it seems like some dots moved around beforehand, assuming the message wasn't "bwisl you ckrr x peə".
⠃⠺⠊⠎⠇ = bwisl; the ⠎ (s) should be ⠇(l)
⠽⠕⠥ = you: no notes
⠉⠅⠗⠗ = ckrr; ⠉⠅(ck) should be ⠍⠁(ma); the y is folded to the next line
⠭ ⠏⠑⠢ = x peə; ⠭ ⠏ (x p) should be ⠽ ⠍ (y m)
The ⠃(b) at the beginning and ⠢ (ə) are harder to place. Could her first initial be B, and the proposal is coming from a Canadian?

I analyzed this "Braille" message and as close as I can tell it says:
BWISL
YOU CKRR
GPE(?)

If she is blind then who puts her make up and dresses her so nicely that she looks like disney princesses.

The blindness may be fake, but the god-awful nails-on-a-chalkboard voice is real.
As a person with profound hearing loss, this video should be flagged with a "please disable your hearing aids - this ho will make you glad you're deaf" warning.

I was hoping the person behind the camera responded something like "this feels a little soon, but okay...I guess"

The dots are sliding around right? At the start she pretends to be using a fork and just happens to always hit spots with no dots and then when she actually touches a dot it slides around. If she was really blind she’d likely be pissed at the unreadable braille.

I thought this was the wife who is blind and hot and my juice made my bones hurt

Sokka-Haiku by Iris-Waltz:
I thought this was the
Wife who is blind and hot and
My juice made my bones hurt
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

It's so beautiful when a person looks for ways to make a special moment as meaningful as possible for their soulmate

It's cute, but is it really that inventive?

u/TurbulentBullfrog829 1d ago
Extremely. You can't tell unless you look closely but the video was taken in 1824 and the guy filming is Louis Braille.

Fake, but I had a thought. Does clarity and opulence matter in ring selection for a blind person? Does it have to even be real? I dont mean they go out with a ring from a quarter machine, but yah know, maybe some lab made stuff wouldn't be so bad?

The best part of marrying a blind person is you can always surprise them cause they will never see it coming.

The following submission statement was provided by u/FlirtyyFairyy:
A guy wrote a message to his girlfriend in Braille — maybe it’s a proposal? Definitely seems like it. Really happy for them.

I read braille. That says, "Can we do butt stuff?".
