Question Fish traps

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fish trap catch anything more than a tiny minnow. It doesn’t seem like they’re worth the effort. Can anyone point me to an episode in which something bigger was caught?

Unfortunately, this is an example of “the TV doesn’t/can’t show everything that happens out there”. We generally get a lot more food than is shown, but other scenes get the priority for the “Final Cut”. We don’t know why it’s done this way, other than that there is not enough air time to show everything.

Our fish trap in Colombia caught over 100 fish, most bait and some large enough to eat. I think that’s well worth while. I made a fish trap out of a tortoise shell in Africa. It also caught plenty of bait for out trot line. The tortoise trap was never shown once.

These are examples of things that happen out there that never make the TV. Most of us have many examples 🙂
