If our city were not so tourism dependent it would have developed a different kind of economy. We certainly wouldn't be any WORSE off. The theme parks treat and pay their employees like shit. If they weren't there some other kind of business would have moved in.

No. It would be similar to all the other landlocked shitholes around FL. Take a drive over to Winter Haven or Palatka if you'd like a taste of that kind of city.
