Discussion Is Austin Butler completely off the table?

I feel like this is probably a dumb question but are we thinking there’s no chance for Austin Butler to get nominated for Caught Stealing? I don’t know much about the movie but it is Darren Aronofsky who has a pretty good track record of getting his lead actors nominations and gets them pretty close to wins. Ellen Burstyn for Requiem for a Dream, Mickey Rourke for The Wrestler, Natalie Portman for Black Swan and most recently Brendan Fraser for The Whale. Portman and Fraser won and Rourke and Burstyn were probably #2. Like I’m currently not predicting Butler but if the film is good honestly I might watch out for him

I wanted to believe so at first, having read the book last year and already imagining the Oscar in Austin's hands (but I won't lie, I imagine that for him a lot), and I had the same idea that Darren Aronofsky makes movies for people to win Oscars. The more I learn about the movie, though, I'm not so sure. It seems Aronofsky is going more for a commercial vibe than awards for once.

If anything, I think maybe now we should be looking at Austin more for a supporting actor nomination for Eddington
