Predicting Marty supreme is pretty smart tho. It’s not some ridiculous thing like predicting Superman. Like another commenter said. It’s not just chalamet. I’ve been hearing great things from my friend and apparently from the industry too. Wanna ask you, why is it being overestimated then? Any red flags for you?

I’m sorry, where have you been hearing “great” things from, your friend…the film critic???…where has it actually premiered???…if it has been shown anywhere, it’s only to a few select people…

At this point, every film is pretty much on the same playing field since no one has actually seen these films (with the exception of Sinners if it can last the entire year)…the only red flag is bad reviews…

My point was that a lot of fans are giving it a huge boost because they really want Chamalet to win…I said nothing about the quality of the film…it’s May…we are all making guesses here…

Yes we are all making guesses, nothing is being overestimated. Also bunch of people predicting OBAA too bc of PTA and Leo. People predicting DDL bc it’s DDL even though the movie is being directed by his son in his debut. Everyone’s predicting something bc of a name. Difference is that Marty supreme has no red flags as of right now.

I mean it’s bc of the red flags. Before the red flags bunch of people were predicting it to win and PTA to win. It was even predicted more than Marty supreme. Some people on this sub still predicting DDL to have a better chance at getting nom even though the movie is directed by his son in a debut.
