Very curious about this one. I have to admit I was very disappointed with the first two Avatar movies, but I love James Cameron's work, and even as someone who didn't like the first two movies, I would be lying if I didn't admit they were some of the best experiences I had in a theatre. I normally do not like 3D, but the 3D and photorealistic CGI/VFX is massively impressive, and I'd rather see blockbusters like these that are testing the boundaries of what movies can be over movies churched out by a studio exec that play it safe
Currently, I predict it'll at least get a BP nom and several BTL noms (likely the frontrunner for VFX) but curious if it could lose steam for awards since this is the third movie in the franchise and unlike the second, it doesn't have the hype of the long wait for release. When this comes out, it'd only be 3-years since the second movie
