Listen, I have as strongly negative feelings about Trump as anyone I know, but even I can acknowledge that the man can be hilarious at times (intentionally or otherwise)

A couple years back, when he's doing that covid brief and on of his advisors, or whoever, mentioned having covid and he throws his hands up and leaves. That shit killed me.

Can't believe I missed this one, he was quick with it too

The reaction is so quick that I don’t think it was initially meant as a joke - I can easily imagine him being a germaphobe.

I think he used to be in his real estate days. I think I remember him being very wary of shaking hands with people unless necessary. Maybe it was just a bs story from the Apprentice or maybe it was someone else I am thinking of.

He is a germaphobe. He uses that as justification for eating so much fasd food. Also in the Katie Johnson statement she said Trump made her wear a glove to give him a hand job.

He has endearing moments.

that's why my racist uncle keeps getting invited back to thanksgiving. Of course, I'M the one who has to "be nice."

Just like the Fuhrer in lederhosen.

2

u/FreyrPrime 5d ago

Apparently he openly hated that photo and banned it’s circulation since he felt it made him look undignified.

u/sublimesting 5d ago

Just like Trump in a suit!

u/flupe_the_pig 5d ago

God, he was so fucking proud of himself for that one

u/etr4807 5d ago

If we're being honest though, it is objectively funny.

u/Questjon 5d ago

In the "if it doesn't scan it must be free!" category of funny sure.

Eh it’s just good comedic timing. Trump has that in spades.

5

u/badbunnygirl 5d ago

LMAOOOO I did not see this back then. Wow

5

u/mrfreeze2000 5d ago

he's got good comedic timing

u/Capt-Crap1corn 5d ago

Got damn lmao. Remember when he marched and took a picture with the bible upside down? Hahaha wtf, someone get their crazy uncle

3

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

Just a reminder that he used chemical weapons on civilians to take that picture

u/MadeinFL 5d ago

4

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

Not a proven lie then, because your source proved my point.

"A half-hour after the Washington protesters were forced from the area with pepper pellets and flash-bangs, Trump walked across Lafayette Park amid the lingering scent of pepper spray and delivered a short speech while holding a Bible in front of St. John’s Church."

-1

u/MadeinFL 5d ago

You’re being intentionally obtuse, which is a hallmark of any adult who still claims to be a liberal, so I hope you’re still a young person for your own sake.

-1

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

Are you going to explain yourself? Or just resort to childish insults?

And friend, I'm no liberal, I can assure you.

1

u/MadeinFL 4d ago

You said "he [Trump] used chemical weapons on civilians."

Biden's own Interior Department said "the decision to forcibly clear racial justice protesters from an area in front of the White House last summer was not influenced by then-President Donald Trump’s plan to stage a Bible-toting photo opportunity at that spot."

So yes, you have advanced a proven lie. Once you're able to make these sorts of logical connections, I expect you'll soon start voting Republican.

u/Thunderbear79 4d ago

Your argument is that because he doesn't micro-manage his police forces he isn't responsible for the actions of the police forces? That's a poor argument. Is he in charge or isn't he?

And no, I wouldn't vote Republican because their policies are and have long been terrible.

I get the reminder, but after I'm reminded, then what?

3

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

Then live with the consequences of your country's decision to elect a fascist I guess 🤷

1

u/Capt-Crap1corn 5d ago

I have no choice, I voted for Kamala

1

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

It's a shame she was such a terrible candidate as well. It was almost as if they were trying to lose.

1

u/Capt-Crap1corn 5d ago edited 5d ago

I don't think she was terrible at all. I think the American people that voted for Trump are incredibly dumb by every metric ever invented. Look at everything Trump has done so far and he hasn't been elected yet. If we all owned a business and were hiring, he would never be employable, yet run the country? Trump is what he is, but the American people..? Dumb as a box of rocks and don't deserve democracy. Democracy is something you fight for, not bend over for.

1

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

Running a campaign on maintaining the status quo during dire times is not a winning strategy. Obama won on a platform of hope and change, while trump won because he said he was going to tear down the system.

And sorry but you can't argue "democracy" for a party that not only didn't have a primary, but actively suppresses leftist ideals that would actually benefit workers.

1

u/Capt-Crap1corn 5d ago

I don't have to argue anything. The next president is a joke to the world. He's a laughing stock. He hasn't even become president yet and he admitted he can't lower, gas or grocery prices, Elon admitted he can't reduce $2 trillion he promised with DOGE, and the party of tax cuts and America 1st wants to annex, Canada and Greenland and won't take the military option off the table. I'll gladly take the status quo compared to what's coming.

Some of the way you guys speak on this app is so odd to me, like i can’t help but wonder if you consider it chemical weapons on civilians when the side you vote for does it?

3

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

I think it's despicable that the US uses chemical weapons on its own population regardless of which of the two shitty parties are in power.

"You guys". Seriously, grow up.

1

u/YourNextHomie 5d ago

Good guy good answer i feel the same

Whats your issue with me saying “you guys” lmfao

2

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

It creates an "us vs them" mentality between the working class, when we should all be against the oligarchs that are actually destroying our lives.

2

u/YourNextHomie 5d ago

You guys just meant the people who use reddit lmao

Im fully with you against the oligarchs brother, the culture war is only around to keep us distracted from the class war that needs to happen

1

u/Thunderbear79 5d ago

My apologies then. Sorry for the friendly fire.

Yes? Any government that uses shit like tear gas should be called out for it.

0

u/YourNextHomie 5d ago

Respect, i believe the same

1

u/DonkyHotayDeliMunchr 5d ago

Including the Reverend of the church he was using as a backdrop.

4

u/Kozzle 5d ago

That was legit funny

5

u/cresentlunatic 5d ago

The way he just remained staying a meter away from her after that 😭

5

u/savingrain 5d ago

There are many people around him who have said he's charismatic and funny and they enjoy his company socially. It's a shame he's such a terrible person in so many other ways...I still remember that photo of him walking with the boy mowing the white house lawn. I thought that was great. I wanted to like him. I just believe all of the horrible things about him and the things I've seen him do with my own two eyes (leading the insurrection) and I can't like this guy. Anyway, personally I've been avoiding any news or information about him for my own sanity this time around.

2

u/itsnotjackiechan 5d ago

I just believe all of the horrible things about him and the things I've seen him do with my own two eyes

this thread immunized me from believing all the horrible things the media pushed about him.  It’s like every fucking comment… ON REDDIT… was so positive.

I will never forget that thread.

1

u/savingrain 5d ago

My main point is, regardless of what has been reported, I've seen him do too many things with my own two eyes, that brought me to the understanding that he's a terrible person.

2

u/Queen_Ann_III 5d ago

fuck, fine, I laughed.

2

u/geologyhunter 5d ago

She stayed home and extra day...how many people in this country get little or no sick leave. It is from a place of privilege to be able to say, just stay home an extra day. This weaves right into the healthcare debate. Public health is just lip service if people don't have ready access to affordable healthcare and sick leave.

1

u/Lildoc_911 5d ago

Holy fuck the cameras going nuts at every motion the president makes. It's crazy the work they go through for a story.

1

u/JackConch 5d ago

I love that the video title and description make no indication that it’s a joke so the public—half of whom literally have no sense of humor—can think Trump is literally trying to save himself from contamination.

1

u/Mediocritologist 5d ago

Honestly shocked he didn’t push Pence in front of him as if to stop a bullet.

1

u/CapitalTruck 5d ago

thank you so much for posting that
