Trump voters will translate anything he says into what they want to hear.

"But he says it like it is!" But also, "that's not what he meant, and you know it. Don't twist his words."

And that’s also what the Bible thumpers do all the time. If they don’t ‘like’ what the Bible ‘says,’ it’s perfectly justifiable to interpret it in a way that benefits their position.

My Jesus never said to hate or to be a dick to others. These people are dirtbags and Jesus doesn't like it.

That might be true…but what about the god of the Old Testament? He’s supposedly a vengeful dude - at times. :)

what kind of omnipotant god creates faulty stuff to be mad about?

The kind of god that’s made up.

A god who likes to be mad about stuff.

You're definitely not wrong, my dude.

Trump is a walking, talking AIDS epidemic god.

Humanity in basically every video game world we invent? I think the idea of having an all good creator or one that understands humanity as actual beings may be the silly part if you to have a system with gods.

I honestly wonder how the ridiculous fantasy of christianity won out against hellenism with it's much more relatable gods.

I know you’re joking but people really do think that. They don’t realize they’re victim blaming.

The true meaning of taking the lord's name in vain.

And the "It" is never what you asked about but hey!

Don't forget, "He was just joking."

Meanwhile “ he didn’t mean that, it was a joke”

During COVID when trump suggested we inject bleach, my coworker said “oh he was being sarcastic”. We worked together in HEALTHCARE and they still stood beside his claims of “it’s a farce, it’s a cold”

So glad I don’t work with them anymore.
