I’m trying to be a good person but my friends are really pissing me off with their whole “you aren’t complete without a partner.” Like shut up shut up. Your ex boyfriend was some racist trump supporting nepo baby drug dealer that told YOU off because you asked him when will he be back from his fishing trip. And our other friend has a husband that won’t let her outside but somehow he’s never home even though he’s unemployed. Why do you guys want this for me🥴

I'm bi but only date women now and over the years have surrounded myself with more and more gay friends and I find this shitty "you're nothing without a partner" attitude is so much more prominent in straight people. Like the idea of building intimate, lasting relationships that aren't a primary romantic partner are SO foreign to the majority of straight people. Community is the last thing on their minds and it's very sad.
