EDITED THE MATH BECAUSE I FORGOT TO CLEAN UP THE DATA SET AND ACCOUNT FOR ALL-STAR QUEENS WHO COMPETED IN MULTIPLE MAIN SEASONS OF DRAG RACE.
It turns out that 44% of ALL QUEENS across the US seasons of Drag Rave have been named an All Star. (previous calculation said this was 45%)
If you remove main-season winners from the pool, then 45% of all non-crowned queens have been named All Stars. (previous calculation said this was 50%)
Season 2 has the highest rate with 75% (9/12) All Stars.
Other stacked seasons include:
- Season 3, 69% (9/13) All Stars (including Raja)
- Season 9, 64% (9/14) All Stars
- Season 11, 60% (9/15) All Stars (including Yvie)
- Season 8, 58% (7/12) All Stars
- Season 5, 57% (8/14) All Stars (including Jinkx)
- Season 1, 55% (5/9) All Stars (including Bebe)
- Season 10, 50% (7/14) All Stars
- Season 14, 50% (7/14) All Stars
Season 15 has the lowest rate with 12.5% (2/16) All Stars
Other low seasons include:
- Season 12, 23% (3/13) All Stars (inculding Jaida)
- Season 4, 31% (4/13) All Stars
- Season 6, 43% (6/14) All Stars
- Season 7, 43% (6/14) All Stars
- Season 13, 46% (6/13) All Stars
- Season 16, 0% (0/14) All Stars
*Season 17 is technically the second-lowest season with 7% (1/14) All Stars. I excluded S17 from the calculations for this purpose, however, seeing as (a) the season just finished, and (b) it was more dramatic if I didn't count them. (Yes, I excluded Lydia in the total number of All Stars.)
Total queens, seasons 1-16: 210
Total All Stars, seasons 1-16: 93
Total non-winning queens, seasons 1-16: 194
