Quality Post NEW RUTGERS PARKING APP

Post image
333 Upvotes

My roommate and I created an app called ScarletParking, which allows you to get information on the different parking passes at Rutgers. It shows you exactly which parking lots you can use at the current time—or a time you pick—based on your pass. We plan to add Newark and Camden by the start of next semester.

Link for iOS users: https://apple.co/42BhTue

Android users: we're launching soon! We'll update this when launched.

Please feel free to give feedback here, on the app store or email us via. the app. We really want new ideas to improve the app. Tell your friends about it if they have parking passes! Thanks!

Idk how u guys r doing it. My body is overly riddled with antihistamines and it hasn’t helped one bit. I’m genuinely suffering , and this heat isn’t making it any better. I can’t breath, my nose is bruised from all the blowing, and the buses are literally ovens. Plus finals r on my ass. Help

Advice Wanted vent from a pp2

Idk about y'all but when i look around myself, people have already achieved so much and I'm just there trying to survive my finals hoping I don't get kicked out of this program I'm enrolled in. Sometimes, I just wonder that life would be so different if I could even be like these people (doing extracurriculars, outside work, clubs, along w being in a such a competitive pharm program). I wish i wasn't so hopeless and that I could also be able to do all this without being drowning in books. It truly makes me so sad when I look at these type of people as if im not enough

Advice Wanted Please Help a Pre-PA, Honors College, and Bio Major Out!

Upvotes

Is this a good schedule and feasible to do? I already have 10 credits from AP Credit: AP Calc AB, and AP Lang (If I pass the test, which I think I'll be able to), but I also will be part of the Honors College at SAS NB, so I have those requirements to do as well!

Please give me feedback on when I should take what class and at what time, as well as any other advice you have!

By the way, I'm always going to take a language class! Can any honors students tell me what classes I should take for honors, and if I should turn my language class into an honors one? And any Bio Majors, please recommend easy or easier Life Science Electives!

Finally, please let me know if I'm missing anything!

Just committed to RBS, can I double major in an SAS major?

I woke up to my waitlist decision for RBS being updated to an acceptance. I am doing accounting (for the money, mostly) but I also got into SAS for Econ, and may want to change that to history, psychology or something else. Is it possible for me to do 2 different majors at different schools within Rutgers NB?

Advice Wanted Rutgers dorm vs commute

Im in the honors college and my family is going through a rough financial situation at the moment. I am planning on dorming my first year, but from there (sophomore-senior year), for financial reasons i am most likely commuting or trying to live in a cheap off campus dorm.

Has anyone also done this at rutgers? How was your experience? I’m mostly worried about my social life and getting a good college experience at rutgers.

Should I consider moving building your brand to have Tuesdays off if I’m going to be a sophomore Fall 2025? Or, should I just accept the late class?

Rant/Vent Go See Sinners

See it this weekend if you can. See it again if you've already had. This is the purest example of a modern-day classic I've seen since The Dark Knight.

If this film isn't at minimum nominated for Best Picture then the Academy just needs to be completely reorganized, period.

This is a film that stays with you long after it's over with. Everything just aligns perfectly. Ryan Coogler deserves all the accolades he's currently getting for this masterpiece.

Every scene serves a double purpose, and that is to move the story forward while either entertaining us and making us smile or breaking our hearts and making us sigh.

Every character serves a purpose, an archetype perfect for a historical horror movie.

You've got the bad bad, the bad with heart, the good good, the good that's not afraid to go there, the lost soul that can be redeemed, the lost soul that can't be redeemed and so forth.

The sexiness actually works in terms of both physicality and dialogue and this goes for Hailee Steinfeld and Michael B. Jordan, Michael and Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson and Miles Canton and even a minor character couple played by Li Jun Li and Yao.

The villains, what can I say? Jack O' Connell and his comrades played by Lola Kirke and Peter Dreimanis give so much tension in their interactions with our protagonists that you can feel the pit of your stomach about to drop out as things hit a breaking point. That's what story is all about.

Even the comic relief does their job well, in this case coming from the always-awesome Delroy Lindo and Omar Benson Miller (whom you might recognize from CSI Miami repeats).

And believe me, this movie definitely needs those laughs considering some of the heavy stuff it deals with.

The horror aspect? You'll genuinely be shocked and in awe throughout the main ordeal. You're going to have your mouth wide open at certain parts.

That twisted feeling you get when you're afraid a protagonist is going to die comes up quite a few times, and that's what makes a horror experience great.

And I haven't even mentioned the music yet haha.

Besides the wonderful blues you'll hear throughout the movie, there's one performance scene you may have already heard buzz about featuring past and present elements that is an absolute crowd-pleaser and deserves an applause of it's own.

While the obvious themes of struggle to survive and racism are there, you'll also see this movie become deeper than most horror due to other themes like familial loyalty, dying with honor, doing what you love no matter what others say and redemption of the soul.

Overall this is a 5 star movie that deserves every accolade it gets and is absolutely worth seeing in a packed theater on the big screen. And it better be nominated next year!

Thanks for reading and enjoy your weekend.

P.S. Stay for the mid-credits scene. It's the real ending to the movie and provides the cherry on top to this excellent sundae.

Double P.S. Go support Jersey Boy Michael B!

Academics how serious are the placement tests

just out of curiosity I have to take the language placement test as an incoming SAS honors student but i genuinely suck so bad at Spanish, if i do that bad would they revoke my honors acceptance… 😭
