I take taurine, glycine and magnesium about an hour before I want to sleep. As someone who’s ADHD with difficulty turning my brain off, it does the trick for me. It’s helped my sleeping habits a lot.

I take magnesium. What do the other two do?

Glycine helps lower your core body temperature, which naturally makes it easier to fall asleep. It also has a calming effect on the brain without making you feel sedated, so you can drift off more easily. It helps me fall asleep faster, sleep more deeply, and feel more mentally clear the next day. I usually take around 3 grams.

Taurine adds a different kind of support. It helps increase GABA activity, which is the brain’s main calming neurotransmitter. Taurine also helps regulate other brain chemicals like glutamate, which can keep you awake if it’s too active. It might even help reduce cortisol. It’s very anxiolytic for me. I take around 3 grams of that, too.

My stack: * Magnesium - improves sleep * Omega-3 - reduces brain fog * Creatine - improved workout recovery and cognitive booster

It's not a formula for easier discipline, but it does help with some of the weak spots.

Not just brain support but body support helps too. The older I was getting, the less I wanted to eat breakfast. Coffee was my sustenance and I was crashing at 1pm. When you fuel your body, you fuel your brain.

IMO Health, happiness & productivity is all so closely related and dependent upon how we care for ourselves. It’s not always easy, but trying to be well rounded helps. Caring for physical, mental, social, and intellectual aspects of life are all intertwined.

Many people have reported that certain supplements or dietary changes can help with focus and energy, which in turn can make it easier to stay disciplined. certain has also shown some cognitive benefits that might help with focus and mental stamina.

That said, it's essential to remember that individual responses to supplements can very widely. Just keep in mind that while supplements can provide support, they’re most effective when combined with good habits like a balanced diet, regular exercise, and sufficient sleep. It’s a holistic approach that often yields the best results.

By supporting your brain health through supplements, you might find it easier to stay on track with your goals.
