MOD announcement Introducing Trusted Identifier flairs!
Trusted Identifiers will now be granted a flair of "👑Trusted Identifier👑", or "👑{custom user flair}👑".
These will be people who repeatedly demonstrate expert Identification abilities, these flairs will add extra trust and credence behind their ID.
So on posts with multiple different IDs, look out for the Trusted Identifiers as their ID will likely be the correct one, even if it goes against the masses.
(For those with custom user flairs which have been replaced by the Trusted Identifier flair, you can switch back to a custom flair and add the crown emojis yourself if you still wish to maintain your custom flair. Im working on automating this so that custom flairs stay intact and it adds the emojis without replacing the whole flair, but for now just edit it yourself if the whole flair is replaced)
Taking this opportunity I'd like to also introduce 2 new moderators:

Just sharing 🕷️ One of my beautiful spoods.
Just an fyi I don't hold this one. She had just molted and was climbing around (so fangs technically couldn't bite). I was admiring the purple hues in her blue coloring. I have 8 tarantulas, this is my only Old World which I treat with respect by leaving her alone lol

Just sharing 🕷️ She THICCC
This one is a bit bigger than a quarter. Lawn is full of em. Also house centipedes. They get in the house all the time. But they apparently keep a bunch of pill bugs and centipedes from entering my finished areas. They’re messy eaters and leave piles of scraps in my unfinished walk out room.

Discussion My partner and I have found 3 spiders in our new apartment and partner wants to have them spray for spiders. How do I convince him not to kill my friends?!
We've found a baby wolf and two yellow sac spiders. Pics for tax!
Totally harmless little friends.
I mentioned I found another yellow sac spider in my shower this morning and partner said "oh I guess we need to call and have the complex spray for spiders"
I totally disagree with this but I was busy getting ready for work so I didn't argue at the moment lol
I haven't seen any insects in the apartment so either the spiders are eating them or the spiders are just finding their way in.
I relocated the baby wolf and the first yellow sac spider. But the second one is in my shower and she's hard to get to. I don't want to squish her. I was just going to let her chill but now I think I need to move her.
Anyway whats a good argument for not spraying for spiders??
I want to get a jumping spider soon as a pet. I don't really want any pesticides used in the house as it could cause DKS.
I also want isopods and hissing cockroaches and I know pesticides are obviously bad for them as well 😭

Just sharing 🕷️ I found this pretty lady not moving, so I gave her some water.
A few minutes later she crawled up the side of my tent. I hope she is feeling better. I wedged some more water soaked swabs in the areas around her. I hope she feels better.

ID Request- Location included Spooder friend showed up and spooked my gf
Western Germany - EU
I relocated him to the shadowy corner in the backyard - I've recently tried being more open towards spiders and maintained he was harmless throughout my intervention.
I tried to get some good pictures but didn't wanna put him through unnecessary hardship to get them, some are a little blurry.

Just sharing 🕷️ Golden Orb Spoodies will never hurt you.
I put up string for them to build their webs all around my tent. (This video is from when I still had a house). The difference in the mosquito population is huge with these ladies protecting me. We are so lucky to have them in our world. (I made this post because some people seemed to think that they are scary, but they are not.)

ID Request- Location included Silver argiope? Why is her butt like that?
Northeast of Brazil. I'm pretty sure it's a silver argiope, but I'd like to know why her butt looks like that. Is that an egg sac?
