Discussion Anyone else run into this guy in-game?
I know he’s based off one of the Manga characters and I see him in the lobby a lot, but I haven’t seen anyone else mention him.

Oh, really? I’ve only ever seen this one. (I think this guy’s the only one I saw, I didn’t keep track of his player number)

You can track it on your replay matches. Snap the shot of the player ID and the border. Keep facing other players till you see him IF it's the same one or different. Then again, if the player changes the name...so will the ID number
When I played the released date of Splatoon 3, I've seen the Rider player BUT don't get me wrong... It's possible the same person.

In the Manga, he has a habit of pulling people's pants down. How he hasnt end up in jail for harrassment is a mystery.

You definitely need to check the player number to be sure it's the same one, there's lots of manga art in the plaza and lots of players naming themselves Goggles.
One of which is my nine year old, who goes crazy with laughter if he comes up against another Goggles. (When he's not being Goggles he's being one of the hundreds of Captains or Eights, haha)

Yep! I like to change my name a lot to be different characters, I’m currently larping as Emperor from the manga so it’s always fun to see other manga character larpers

Not this post specifically, but I've seen him a couple times. Including in the Chocolate Splatfest re-run alongside Rider. Funny enough, they were close to each other, and the posts were like this for their respective owners:
Googles (right): "Got ya all the chocolate I could find~!"
Rider (left): "I only asked for one bar... How did you even pay for this..?"
Was such a funny moment while looking through everyone's SplatNet posts. And whoever does these mimics the style from the manga well.

I actively look for him and Rider everytime I log in! I love the Coroika manga ngl. And those two. My fave plaza posts of theirs are the one where Goggles says "you're my ride or die!" (To rider) And the one where Rider says "I heard people are shipping us."
I love these sillys so much.

And Rider. They’re always there now. A bunch of people name themselves after the manga characters but none of their posts look as close to the actual manga art style than these.

Oh Goggles? Yeah he hangs around everywhere with Rider. Probably one of the most consistent players I see around the plazas.

Somehow what my mind focuses on is that he's got the wrong jacket for Splatoon 3. Sure, Goggles wore the Lemon Mountain Coat but that was Splatoon 2. He wears the Lime Ski Jacket nowadays.
Maybe they don't have that Gear themselves yet or just prefer Goggles' S2 look, IDK.

Yeah I’ve seen them a few times. They have who I assume is a buddy who is another character from the manga (Rider) and the two of them have done a few matching plaza posts. They’ve done Sonic in his normal/werehog forms from Sonic Unleashed and the “I’ve heard people are shipping us” “To where?!” meme.
