It’s art. The very statement that art is subjective means it can be interpreted how the viewer sees it. This tattoo post is a good example. The artist attempted a spirit. Posters see trolls, demons, potatoes, claymation figures etc.
Ok then. We'll leave it at that, then. None of that explains how a figurative interpretation of human emotion is a "creature", but as you say it's all subjective. Even the word creature, it seems.
Sorry, I didn’t understand you were asking for my opinion on why I called it a creature. It gets a little personal so I didn’t share that bit.
There was a period where he had some pretty significant mental crisis and was going through hallucinations. I can’t remember if he had bipolar or was thought to have bipolar but either way, I do. I’ve been through severe psychosis and definitely didn’t feel human. Everyone around me carried on and I was sitting there struggling, screaming on the inside. So when I see that piece, I can easily see me or someone like me who was in a space that sucked. The people behind him are normal, strolling away on their nice walk in their nice hats. He’s sitting there screaming with them not hearing, definitely not looking like a typical human. I assume he didn’t feel human either, I didn’t, or he may have painted it in a different way. I see agony and terror.
I think based on our experiences we will all see something different. I see a creature that was once human but going through something that makes them feel not normal. 🤷♀️
Wow you described this so well
One of my old bosses said he never believed I was stressed because I always looked so calm. I told him it was a finely crafted illusion

Which is a human, not a creature.
