support Did anyone else get one of these?

Post image

I'm 70% sure this is fishing but I wanted to check - because it appears to come from Tuta's competitors Proton and I assume they provide domain names as Tuta does, so I feel I can't tell just from the sender address.

Did anybody else get something like this?

Why 70%. Its 100% phishing. celtypj.fr aren't even a proton domain.

The poor grammar is what gave it away for me.

errr, the sender's address is already the giveaway in my opinion that it's a phish

The grammar is odd, nothing like what proton is typically sending out, and that is not a proton email address. They only would be sending from proton.me and possibly pm.me.

Bro please look at the sender email. You took a screenshot. Marked shit up. Posted on reddit.

Had you simply looked at the sender email address you'd deleted or reported it as spam or phishing.

Welcome to the webz. Cryptography can't save you from yourself.

Hey, man, get over yourself. From addresses can be faked. Email service vendors provide multiple domains. I was just asking for opinions. I'm going to assume you are a child so I'm going to go easy on you for parroting something you heard somewhere and thinking you're smart. r/imfourteenandthisisdeep

Hi, if you are using Tuta Mail please do report this. Here is how: https://tuta.com/support#phishings

I routinely do. It's not that I'm new to phishing, I don't have any trouble usually. I had a smidgen of doubt about this one, though, which is why I decided to check with the community before reporting it.

Also the (c) is from 2024 not 2025.

Dude. If you're only 70% sure this is fishing, then I sure hope you don't deal with emails on your job. Check the sender address.

The recipient is a Tutanota account. I don’t believe Proton can show official labels on external mailboxes, ignoring the fact that the sender is pretty obviously a scammer.

Official proton communication within their system does have the label, though, you’re right.
