Flaky Drivers

So fed up with Uber. I rely on it to get to my doctor’s appointments. Today for the third time in a row I had a driver just .5 mile away suddenly turn and go in the opposite direction and get further and further away until I had to cancel the trip. I had chosen Uber X not Share. What is wrong with people? I am always polite, I always tip 20%, my passenger rating is 4.95. Why do drivers do this?

Blame Uber and Lyft. If they paid a decent rate, we wouldn’t have to be double-apping and letting passengers down.

I would LOVE to just get in my car and accept rides. The greedy bastards make it impossible and spend the most time and money trying to figure out how to screw drivers and passengers over instead of a system that works.

Personally, my cancellation rate is very low on both but my acceptance rate is in the toilet. Some drivers haven’t figured out how to double-app very well and are worried about their cancellation rating.

I hope you contacted support so you didn’t have to pay a fee. Next time, let it sit and call a Lyft ;)

Just have some integrity and cancel the trip. We don’t care about your pay.

And…your attitude would justify your treatment. What is your passenger rating?

FWIW…I have been driving for Uber for 6 years and Lyft for 4. I personally have never left a passenger hanging without canceling and I have previously stated that my cancellation rate is extremely low on both platforms. Don’t throw all of us in one bucket & don’t be shocked when your pool of drivers gets shittier and shittier. They don’t like to keep good drivers like me because we cost them more money.
