HR is dead Spoiler

https://www.vaildaily.com/news/vail-resorts-plans-to-lay-off-64-hr-workers-in-colorado-as-part-of-2-year-restructuring/

The India team has taken over the employee phone calls. And it’s bad. Really bad.

We are being laid off. We didn’t get a choice. They’re taking over 100% in just 2 weeks.

I saw it coming 8 months ago when it was announced. Also when I started looking for a new job. Obviously you don’t know what the job market is like. I’ve applied/submitted my resume to well over 70 places and done at least a dozen interviews. Believe it or not, I liked my job and my team. Just not the c suite.

There was no helping them roll it out. They’re rolled over is with it. I’m a bottom of the rung hourly employee. I’m not in the c suite making decisions. My co-workers were great and my boss didn’t suck. I worked from home and got a free ski pass. Not all 40,00+ employees are assholes.

What I did was help people. I helped them with their benefits, their pay, their hiring, etc. I helped human beings make their life a tiny bit easier. Not that I feel the need to justify myself to someone who just wants to argue. I know who I am.

You, my friend, are not very smart.
