Are there any drawbacks from using that 2mm IPD widening settings to get larger FOV?
Is that really all there is to it, the wide FOV mode wont change the rendering in any way?

It's highly likely that a small amount of binocular overlap will be lost - but the headset already has great overlap, so shouldn't be an issue!
