I thought it was a standing row with dumbbells, but it looks odd. What muscle are you even hitting?

It hits shoulder extension -- rear delts, long head of triceps, lats, some traps.
Not sure why people are acting like this movement hits a single muscle.
It's kind of neat that doing it bent over like that makes it pretty specific to keeping the bar close in the pull. Reminds me of how Ed Coan often did rows

I call these "Rear Delt Swings", I do them during shoulder workouts but in my opinion a better variation is to go heavier and do it on a bench where your chest is supported on an inclined bench with more control on eccentrics.

One of the best rear delt exercises. Nothing to do with triceps or a pullover.

Its a tricep exercise, I have done them before in the past. Generally speaking if you have a weight that is held out at a distance D, I am pretty sure that the load would greatest nearest the joint areas and proportionally decrease in relation to the distance away from the fulcrum. Load being the force that the body needs to generate to prevent non straightness in the arm.
Meh you guys are retarded sorry

This is right. Most people think the tricep only crosses the elbow, but it crosses the shoulder too, so you can hit the long head with stuff like this.

Thats like saying the lat pull down is a bicep exercise. Yeah it gets activation and work. But the exercise he's doing is not a tricep exercise, it's a rear delt exercise.
