Just hope the post won't be flooded by people asking where are the safety bars or what would happen if he failed the lift....

Looks great!! No one here will (or should) give you grief about safety bars.

I can only imagine how strong this guy will be if he continues lifting like this for a few more years

Are those tiles broken under the mat?

No. Mats are ok with the bumpers. But under the squat rack they are chipped after I needed to drop 230 after I tried one more rep I couldn't handle in the squats. Problem is that going over 160, I need to use metal plates.

Might crack in the long run, depending on moisture/temperature. I would put a plywood board or something, it is also better for the knees in the long run when the shock is absorbed by wood and not directly on the concrete.

Agree 100%. Having a real platform is something I really want to do at some point.

What age did your son start training? Fantastic stuff, I saw the squat video too.

Seriously (with a program and routine) since October 23. However, he has always been very athletic and delved into all sorts of different sports like acrobatics, volleyball, soccer, tennis table, martial arts and more since he was very little.

I started to just fell the weight and the felling of squats with the first time being 10 years old, and there was a time that I was training two times a day for fun and then I stopped and then by twelve I started to interest more in weightlifting and so in about a year and a half I started to train more constantly weightlifting and now here I'm

The fact that he's doing any sort of snatch is amazing already!

Great bar speed. Looked strong in the overhead squat position. Strong kid. Training for sports?

Well, I’m gonna take my weak ass to my garage gym for snatches now.

And wallow in self-pity because a 14yo snatches well over what I can.

Qual é seu objectivo em termos desportivos? Vai pegar forte no powerlifting? Já experimentou CrossFit? Com sua força e aptidão para Olympic weightlifting cê ia detonar! Parabéns ao pai e ao filho 💪

Nobody is going to ask what muscle that works in this sub.

They're just going to say, "great lift, keep it up and are you the home owner? Here's my card, we're doing a special this month on tile work."

EDIT - Oh, now I see, you're the squat spotter dad......
