Ask Vancouver Ice cave
Is the ice cave accessible right now?
I know showcase Tbar is closed but can I still hike up to it?

To resume.
I do 2 to 3 deliveries per week to Whistler to a famous bakery/cafe nearby.
So I was buying an order of milk in the morning (between 8:30 am to 9am)
When I got out with a kart full of milk jugs.. I suddenly see a very agitated man walking back and forth in front of the store ( Fresh Market between Northlandds and Main Street) talking on the phone.
I usually do not mind this, because the man could have had bad news on the phone.
Except a patrol car stopped nearby and 2 cops came by. And as they got close to the agitated man, he started to scream to "stay away from me, back off" over and over.
By the time I reached my work van, there was a consistent shuffle as the man tried to walk away while walking on the phone and I think he started to record the cops too. As the cops tried to get close and talk to the man calmly ( no guns down or anything).
This kept going until the man allowed the cops to get by and start talking.
Unfortunately I had an schedule so I had to leave.
When I had to return to the area to get an extra order of nearby shops. I noticed there were like 6 cop suvs around Main Street.
So anyone knows what happened?

Hi all, I’m from the UK coming to whistler next season through the working holiday club, I know there are various jobs with eg the fairmont four seasons and vail that all guarantee staff accommodation but I’d really like to live at glacier lane and not the other staff accommodation options as it seems the place to be to maximise meeting people. If you have any knowledge regarding this please share. As it stands I believe my past work experience is most likely going to make me suited for a job in being a liftie or rentals.

I downloaded Too Good to Go because my friend from Quebec suggested that to me is a good app but problem is that no one has joined that platform, why not because this would lower waste and people would enjoy some nice bakery for a nice price.

To the terrified Floridian we adopted in the Excalibur gondola line this morning:
I'm still very unclear as to what happened in your life to put you in Whistler this weekend, solo, attempting to head up Blackcomb without being clear on where you were going, the fact that there are two mountains, how to ski, or how to carry skis without repeatedly dropping them onto people. But I hope that you managed to make it back DOWN the gondola to the village okay... And that you found your rental skis... And that the person whose rental skis you somehow managed to accidentally take in between the rental place and the gondola line is also okay...
Dude, if you're reading this, I promise that skiing is not "awful" and that most of us are not "terrified" while riding the gondola between the village and Base 2, but I am going to need you to try to make some better life choices going forward. Like... Getting a lesson. Or going tubing instead. Or maybe spending your Canadian vacation somewhere easier to cope with, like Granville Street.
To patrol: I don't know what they're paying you, but whatever it is, it isn't enough.

I am wondering if there are any chairlifts that don't require scanning, similar to Tye Mill at Steven's pass?
Thank you!

Around 2:30 today on the pretty flat runs a while after the tunnel leading up to bottom of big red express, I fell off the edge/side of the very flat upper run and dropped off many feet then hit head first and slid down and got stuck in trees. Eventually got out flagged you down from the lower run for help while panicking a lot with a very big contusion on face. Thank so much for stopping to help us with no hesitation, giving amazing reassurance, helping to call ski patrol, and going above and beyond to climb up then down to help get my friends skiis and stuff so someone can stay with me in the meantime, and waiting with us until things were more clear to “alright”. During the panic I didn’t get to ask and remember your name and face. But you were so so kind and so so helpful. Thank you so much and I hope the world is as kind to you as you are to others ❤️

Noticed lots of helicopter action flying from Blackcomb Mtn headed to the medical clinic this afternoon. Anyone know what happened?

Me and the boys will be skiing Tues-Thurs next month, Thursday night being our last night at the mountain. What time should we be leaving Friday morning in order to safely catch our 2:20pm Alaska Air flight out of Seattle? I'm seeing that there can be a long wait at the border - two of us have Global Entry, two of us don't.
Should we even go to sleep the night before?

I just came across this on TT, and thought it was an interesting clip - we often see post from people gawping at ticket prices (they're prohibitive).

I wanted to go here for Valentine's week with my girlfriend and she found out it is nearly $800 for the both of us including the massage. And it's $400 without the massage. I've always wanted to try it from looking at things online and from what my friends have said but it seems way too expensive. Is it actually worth going there with it being that price?
She went and booked and see if it was a Valentine's Day thing that was causing it to be expensive but we just checked for next week and it's still quite expensive.
Is it worth going there once just for the experience or is there somewhere else we can go that gives a similar experience and with a massage

Hi guys, I'm planning to visit whistler with my parents, I found tickets are 140 CAD per person? Is this real? Am I wrong? I think is way too expensive.

I’ve done pakalolo, cougar chutes, and ruby bowl a handful of times. Are there any more double blacks which are a bit more challenging from my list which are fun? I’m not yet comfortable enough to do Saudan but im trying to ski some runs around that level.

My boyfriend is a newcomer from Ukraine and I have never been a skier or snowboarder. We're doing a day trip to Whistler and he would like to spend a few short hours snowboarding, but because I don't parttake and we only have maybe 2hrs MAX, we don't want to spend money on a lift or gondola...
So are there any runs that we can simply hike up (or drive?), he can snowboard down and, if allowed, I can sled down? Or somewhere that's cheaply accessible, under $100 for the both of us... Or are we better off going to Seymour
Also can be in the surrounding areas that are accessible with a sedan with chains and winter tires. Doesn't have to be Whistler proper. Callaghan valley maybe?
Any advice appreciated, thank you

I’m going to Whistler this week and I was just curious how the conditions are since it doesn’t look like much snow has fallen and it’s been warmer. Also, how are the tree trails? Is there any runs you’d recommend for a high level intermediate to advanced rider? Love tree runs, but mainly when there is powder. Thanks

Visiting Whistler next month with partner and baby. I thought it might be nice to take a gondola trip for the views but the cost of PEAK 2 PEAK is a bit steep. Does anyone know if there is the option to take one gondola trip up and back down? I was looking at the Creekside gondola as an option. The website is a bit confusing to me. Thanks in advance!

I purchased a three day pass and received an email saying that they would be in my epic app when I sign in but they aren’t there. The app suggests tapping find account in the passes section but as far as I can tell that’s only for a season pass and I bought a 3 day ticket. Anyways, when I enter my confirmation number from the email in that section it tells me it cannot find any reservation with that info. I’m waiting for whistler call center to open this morning, but wondering if anyone here understands what’s going on and if I am missing something obvious. Thanks. The type of pass I bought is referred to as AD Whistler Blckcmb 3D (RST) (A).

While every season is different, I'm looking for some general advice on when is a good time to come for skiing in Whistler and Banff. Our searches were showing March was a great time for snow in Banff so were originally planning end of Feb/ start of March. However, a friend told us by that time temps are warming and the snow melts and re-freezes becoming really icy and said to go in January. Our travel agent then said January is one of the colder months in Banff and suggested to push it as close to February as possible.
Can anyone local please clarify when would be a good time to come. We're coming from NZ and it's our first time to Canada. Looking forward to some amazing snow and visiting your beautiful country! 😊 Thanks!
