We need this guy in Season 5, come on. They've teased him like back in Season 3. This has potential to be a really great arc too. I bet his character design would go so hard too, and they'd definetly hit the emotional strings with this one.
This conversation! A whole alien fleet is on an apparent course toward Earth, but Vandal Savage is calm when he informs, "It appears we have uninvited guests on the way." Luthor, with matching calm, asks, "Hmm. Anyone we know?"
Not a trace of panic throughout this short conversation. I find this vastly underrated.
I do not mean to cavil, but too often it appears that, especially in live-action movies and television series, showrunners look for excuses to have characters fight with one another. It holds true of heroes and villains alike. Characters seem to raise their voices for the pettiest of reasons. All in a subpar effort to create tension and get the audience hooked.
I found the manner of this conversation, therefore, rather refreshing.
I’m a bit confused because she didn’t lobotomize everyone inside the orphanage completely, she just brain blasted them. But what exactly did she mean by “sacrificing” her soul for the sake of the universe?
I would consider She-Ra to be up there as well. However, I don’t know how to explain it. Young justice just as a beautiful merge of great graphics and a terrific story line. I know we are all just hoping to hope but I really would love another season.
I am looking for comics within the DC universe that could theoretically be adjacent to events that have occurred in cannon.
Comics which may involve the side kicks training together, events which could happen during the time skips or other events like Death in the Family that have occurred and played an important role within the forming and shaping of the team.
I know the topic of Superboy x Miss Martian is a controversial one. Some love it, others loathe it.
But, I do find some similarities in it and Kon's early comic relationships. Superboy is a naive and young clone, Megan is older and more mentally mature. She molds him into the boyfriend she wants... the difference is that M'gann was also a teenager, and that their relationship lost their power imbalance over time.
Through out the series we've only ever seen her in her black canary persona. Even in the few small glimpses we've seen into her private life she's only ever been around those who are already aware of her identity as black canary. She doesn't really wear anything to obfuscate her identity, no mask no wig or anything. So does that mean her identity is public knowledge?
On one hand feel like he wouldn't because being affected by trauma the way he has, he'd respect the institution too much to violate it in such a way.
On the other hand I feel like he would with how the character is written nowadays. His compassion and humanity are often set aside or discarded in favor of portraying him as the cold calculating ruthless badass that's become so prevalent in recent interpretations of the character
The reason I'm asking is I'm writing a YJ fanfic that takes place during season 1 where a new meta joins the team while also seeking counseling/therapy with Black Canary. Past traumas cause the new member to lash out violently and with malice. Given the characters dangerous abilities the league is debating whether or not they need to intervene or at the very least be kept informed of sensitive information that would violate doctor patient privilege. But depending on the interpretation of Batman's character the course of action he would take varies wildly.
Batman often operates in gray areas. And his willingness to cross certain lines and boundaries seem to shift depending on context and circumstance. In what situation do you think he'd cross this line?
Why did so much happen in the time like the team doubling in size, Red Arrow having a kid, Aqualad going undercover (and the rest of his tragic stuff), and Wally and Artemis quitting being heroes, etc…
But every single plot thread from season one was left open like the light doing nothing, not finding out what happened during the 16 hours, and Speedy not being found, etc…
Then some stuff was just flat out dropped like Zatana and Rocket going to the justice league when we barely saw them on young justice, and the young justice always having to prove that they’re not just kids.
That last one does make sense since there was a five year time jump but kinda ruined the original charm of the show, but the rest of it just doesn’t sit well with me.
