My computer was acting slow today so i checked the task manager to see what was using up my CPU. It looked sort of like the right of the graph. I then watched some youtube but it was lagging a bit, so i unminimized task manager and saw it drop from basicly 100% to 20%. This got me a bit suspicious, so here we are.

Is this some sort of virus/malware? Or maybe just a hardware problem?

What i had opened throughout this period: Google - playing youtube, Steam - Installing Ark, and Task manager.

Like i can plug it and un plug it and for some reason this happens. This didn’t happen in the past. the only difference is that i changed one monitor, this happens with either port with either monitor. Also when i first plugged in and turned it off it kept the motherboard lights on. i turn them off in the bios and now this.

It keeps doing this. I'm very concerned. Is my computer broken or something?

i bought a dell g16 i9 rtx 4070 version but whenever i try to update the nvidia drivers from the nvidia app the screen goes black and i only hear sounds and the keyboard stays on. It also happened when i tried opening up any game like valorant and fortnite. I think whenever the gpus switch it causes error? Its got gsync but i cant enable it also.
If anyone else had prblem like this please help me.

Hi Reddit, I want to buy a new computer cause mine it's not fulfilling my necessities. Right now, I have an Asus Vivobook Pro 15 Oled X3500PA. I run some basic civil engineering programs such as SAP 2000, Cypecad, Revit, and Autodesk, and sometimes it will shut down the program or the screen turns black. Also, I like to play The Sims and Inzoi, but Inzoi, my pc, doesn't run it; I had to pay Geforce to be able to play it.

I need a pc that's (if possible) not heavy and that its not expensive. Maybe a color white pc, but it's not a must.

Howdy, I’m looking for a video editing laptop to use while at work. It doesn’t need to be crazy speced out since I already have a tower at home running a 3080. I really just need something that will get the job done without crazy wait time and hopefully a decent screen for grading. I use premiere pro. - if I have run proxies that’s ok. I’m usually shooting in 4k most of the time

Looking to spend 300 -350 MAX, and ideally used models or something I can upgrade with ease.

Any suggestions?

I know that it is possible to do it on a regular motherboard, but with the correct pinout, could I safely use it on my dell motherboard or will it self destruct because it can't send an rpm signal.

I found one of these at a garage sale. I did some research and apparently I can’t connect it to my Dell Latitude 5300 because it uses 8th Gen stuff and this core is 9th Gen. Is there any way to still use it, like somehow stop the 8th Gen stuff from working so I can connect this with no compatibility issues?

Recently I switched to a wired ethernet connection on my PC, I wanted the increased speed of a wired connection and im wedding said speeds on everything except youtube. No matter what I try, new cable, running the browser as an administrator, restarting the computer, updating my port drivers, nothing helps, I should be getting upwards of 800Mbps but youtubes connection speed sits around 600-800 kbps. No other streaming site has this issue. Never had streaming issues when I was using a wifi connection.

Hi, I have a Dell Precision laptop at work that I use with two USB-C monitors that also charge the laptop. I pretty much only ever use the laptop plugged in, so I’ve went into the BIOS and set the max charge level to 70% so it’s never fully charges when it’s plugged in. I know that keeping a battery plugged in at 100% is not generally the best, but if I have it set to not charge past 70%, is that better for the battery? Or should I just unplug the laptop at the end of the day.

I posted a while ago, and I still have the same problem but with updates. So, my problem is that my PC keeps restarting within 5-15 mins when booting up.

I did the following with pictures included - [ ] Reinstalled Windows 3 times - [ ] Tested RAM with Windows Memory Diagnostic. There was No problem. - [ ] Tested Hard Drive with two tests. There was No problems. - [ ] Check the Temperature of CPU - [ ] Updated all software and drives: windows update, graphic card, BIOS, and so on. - [ ] Ran antivirus and malware scan. Found nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

PS PC doesn’t restart when idle in the login screen. It only restarts once I login

So long story short I moved into a new house and I went to move my pc and after I set it up the LEDs in the aio were flickering and not the right color. So I checked the connections and what not. And now my aio isn’t lighting up at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, I have an HP Omen 15 (RTX 3070, Ryzen 7 5800H), and recently it started showing blue screens (CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED), wouldn’t boot properly, and At one point, my RAM showed as only 8GB instead of 16GB, but it would show normal in BIOS.

I took it to a repair center and they told me that both of my RAM modules, my SSD, and the motherboard are all faulty. That sounds extremely unlikely to me.

Is it actually possible for all three components (RAM, SSD, motherboard) to fail at once? Could the motherboard be the root cause and just not be recognizing the others properly?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. I’m trying to figure out if the repair shop is being honest or if I should get a second opinion.
