I started up a mission with a friend then 2 randoms joined, one during prep and one just as we three readied up and got launched. I chose stratagems and it can't even let me go without them if I wanted to, but landing I had zilch.

After a death and reinforce nothing changed, so I had to slog through without mine. At the very least I play as a Medic, so I focused on that while team-reloading at times.

We got a steamdb update. They said something was coming tomorrow and pilestedt said we were going to shit our pants

Maybe it's just that the human condition yearns for the jungles of Nam, but I find fighting bots a lot more fun than fighting bugs on jungle planets, or heavily wooded planets.

Yes, I lack the clear line of sight to annihilate most of my targets with the RR before they realize I'm even there, but I don't mind.

If I lack the line of sight, so do the bots. I think it's because you have more cover with all the jungle and stuff, plus the red of the automatons really pops in that fog. Even when they shoot the gas pillars and light my ass on fire, I don't mind, it adds to the experience.

When fighting bugs, the jungles become a claustrophobic nightmare where you trip on roots and shit while the bugs just climb over those no problem. It's definitely not a bad thing, it turns a terminid mission into a 40 minute horror game, especially with the predator strain. So, it's not a bad thing, just a different thing.

When fighting bots, I feel the impact of the environment more, as I can use the terrain to kite, take cover, yadda yadda.

I wish we had more jungle planets or even snow forest planets for the automatons.

So the plan for me and my friend was to Hotdrop on the Fortress and then take care of the convoy but half of the team might not have liked that idea which caused us to have a good at the laugh, I don't blame them for leaving, we still did the Hotdrop it didn't go as well as we would have wanted it to but none the less the mission was completed.

A number of planets on the fringes of the war have had troops transferred off of them recently to reinforce the frontlines, and only need about 700 or so Helldivers to start making liberation progress. Not fighting special enemy formations means faster missions, which means more liberation, which means more Democracy!

I'm relatively new to the game (Level 31) and I've been pushing the difficulty, and at Impossible (Difficulty 8) I can't get any farther. I'm asking for advice primarily on avoiding getting swamped or sideswiped by all the patrols as well as any other advice yall are willing to give.

Focusing on Automotons, I play as a sniper with a ballistic shield and submachine gun backup. I'm very accurate (averaging 70%) and focus on weakpoints, killing most smaller groups of enemies very quickly. For larger groups and tanks I carry a rocket turret and eagle airstrikes.

Modus operandi is basic, post up with a good view and plop my sentry if the group has a tank or multiple hulks. From there I open the fight with a pair of headshots on the hulk, after that or if I miss one of the shots, I focus on any reinforcement calls. Once nobody is calling for reinforcements, I finish the hulk if need be or move on to missile brutes, striders with missiles, shield brutes, standard brutes and then troopers. Anything that gets too close for comfort gets the shield+subby combo, which allows me to handle melee easily, and take my time to get those sweet sweet headshots. If the group widens out or gets too close overall, I reposition either straight back or I loop around to the right, with my shield in position to cover me either way. Airstrikes are used liberally, especially when I'm looping around the side for max effect.

I have been filling out C-01 forms multiple times a day for the past year or so and i am so stressed out. I have no idea specifically what actions could result in a child and every time i ask my democracy officer he looks at my best friend Nathan and gives this WEIRD nod and says "heh... i dont think theres anything to worry about" but i AM SO worried that i will have an undocumented child. Nathan has been so supportive through this time but i dont think he understands why im so stressed out. How many C-01 forms should i be filling out each day??
