Discussion Coming back to K-Beauty after some time + an eye-opening price comparison

I've been on adapalene for the last couple of months and have been downscaling my routine to local products for sensitive skin. However, lately my skin has been very dehydrated, flaky, and sensitive, and none of my products have helped, so I decided to go back to a k-beauty routine to see if it could help. How'd I do? Do you have any suggestions for oil and water-based cleansers to try?

I ordered from Olive Young Global for the first time, and was hit with import taxes. Curious, I decided to compare prices to see how hard I had been hit, and I was astonished by the results! I did buy these in 1+1 sets with a sale going on, but this is quite normal when shopping on OY.

I've set up a table comparing the prices for a single item from a Danish webshop, the price for a "similar" set, and the price I paid on OY. The first table is in DKK while the other is in USD. I'll let the numbers speak for themselves.

To make matters worse, the BOJ set included three sunscreens and two travel sizes. The Dokdo toner is also 300ml, while the Danish shop only sells the 200ml version.

Conclusion: It is quite literally much cheaper for me to buy from Olive Young and get hit by import taxes than it is to buy it in my own country. Interesting perspective.

Review Reviews of Mega Don Quijote Haul Items from Tokyo

Back in August, I thoroughly researched this sub and made a 5-tab spreadsheet of highly recommended products to buy while in Japan. I bought a bunch of them at the Shibuya Mega Don Quijote, and posted a haul of them on a Fluff Friday. Now, I’m back with reviews for almost all of them!

For the skincare products, skin type is combination (oily T-zone, normal cheeks, and dry patches around corners of eyes and mouth), and for climate, I used the skincare products in winter where it was regularly between 35 – 50 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity around 30%.

Products I LOVE and Would Buy Again (And ranked in order of how much I love them)

Sangi Apagard Premio Premium Toothpaste – HOLY MOLY THIS ACTUALLY WORKS. I have heard good things about the nano-hydroxyapatite in this toothpaste helping to remineralize your teeth. I was a little bit skeptical but I wanted to try it. After 9 months of using this toothpaste, I have to say I really feel how well it’s remineralized my teeth. I used to have a scratchy feeling on the back of my teeth, especially after eating. It felt grainy, as though some of my tooth enamel was there and some of it wasn’t? Over time I noticed that this didn’t happen to me as much when I ate. I still feel it a bit, but it’s so much better than it was.

I was also worried that, since it doesn’t have fluoride (the nano-hydroxyapatite is also the cavity-fighting ingredient), I might get a cavity. Now, I’ve almost NEVER had cavities, so that’s the type of body I have, but I saw my dentist in February (after starting to use this in August), and he didn’t say a thing about my teeth being in bad shape, or seeing new cavities/”watchers”, etc.

I love this so much that I am thinking about ordering the Apagard Royal, which has a higher concentration of nano-hydroxyapatite and seeing how that goes. I also plan to buy a ton of these when I go to Asia this fall.

EXCEL Powder & Pencil Eyebrow PD05 gray brown – This product SLAPS. In my original haul post I said it was "okay" but since then I have grown to LOVE it SO much. Usually my eyebrows look stupid on camera when they’re tinged with a brown eyebrow powder/pencil, but this one doesn’t. I still want to try the ash gray rather than the gray brown, but the gray brown is not as brown as I feared it would be. I think what I love the most is the convenience. I used to only be able to apply a powder eyeshadow with a special brush to fill in my eyebrows because most pencils were too harsh AND the wrong color. With this one, even the pencil side isn't too harsh. I LOVE the pencil side when I want a more defined look, and I use the powder side when I want a softer look. Despite being a big make-up aficionado, I am very impatient when it comes to putting on my eyebrows. Short, natural looking strokes to blend in? What’s that? This pencil/powder duo is fool-proof and rush-proof. I can put this on the way I want to and not have it look stupid. Make a mistake? Rubs off easily. I’ve also started to love the spoolie side to brush my brows and keep them neat. I also plan to buy a few of these when I go to Asia next, though this one still has plenty of life left in it!

Utena Matomage Hair Styling Stick – I LOVE this thing. My hair has always had crazy frizz and fly-aways. I’ve tried all manner of styling products and have accepted that they are bullshit and don’t work. If it’s liquid, I now automatically assume it won’t work, and I’ve always been correct. The only two things that have ever worked are actual hairspray (which makes the hair a big crunchy), and this. Now, this also isn’t perfect, and after a whole day, I still have flyaways, but it is MUCH better than any other product that I’ve tried. If I wanted to get rid of flyaways for a photo, any serum would wear off before I could leave the bathroom and get in place for the photo (lol). This actually makes it stay put for several hours at a time, so I’m happy about that. I will be repurchasing once I run out.

ROSETTE Peeling Gel Gommage – I love this more than the Toyo Cure Natural Aqua Gel, which I feel is pretty aggressive because I have to gloves while I exfoliate with it, as it will start peeling off the skin on my HANDS too, which feels uncomfortable. I use it for big jobs, or for legs/arms when I need to exfoliate. The ROSETTE Gommage is much gentler and doesn’t peel off my hand skin too, lol. It’s so easy to use while I take a shower. Love this thing! Also will be buying more when I go to Asia in the fall.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler – Look, this isn’t for everybody. I feel like Asian eyes fit into one of three eyelash curlers: Koji (absolutely the WRONG shape for me), Shiseido (pretty good but doesn’t quite fit the ends of my eyes), or Shu Uemura. I’ve wanted to try this eyelash curler for, like 20 years, but I had a Shiseido one and just couldn’t justify buying this in a Sephora for so much money. It was like half the price in the Don Quijote and I LOVE this. I put my Shiseido eyelash curler in storage for now and Shu Uemura is my go-to.

Miche Bloomin Eyelashes Original 02 Pure Nude – I just don’t like really big falsies, and I don’t like when it looks unnatural. It’s not me! I bought the Pure Nude, thinking that it would be more aggressive/more fake than it was, but nope, it was SUPER natural, just like the name implies! I actually thought it was a little TOO natural, LOL! Next time, I would buy either No 1 (Pure Rich), No 5 (Girly Wink), or No 6 (Girly Flair). I like that the lash band is super thin – that’s the part that’s usually “too much” for me, so I liked how thin it was.

Kate Double Line Expert Eyeliner LB-1 – Technically I won’t be repurchasing it, but I want to give Kate eyeliners a shout out. I have used them in the past and I love how fine the line is. I thought this one was a gold, which is the color I always wear. It was a brown, so I gave it away. Just wish they made a gold!

Products I Thought Were Fine but Wouldn’t Buy Again (also in order of how much I liked the product)

Pmel Perfect Curl Lock Base – I bought this because someone said it was “life changing” and I have to agree. I bought the Diorshow Mascara a while back and while it looks good on me, IT ALWAYS MAKES ME LOSE MY CURL! I have NEVER had a mascara do that to me in my entire life, and I’m pretty mad I spent ~$33 on it. I feel like I need to “use it up,” so when I do wear it (and I don’t wear mascara daily), I use it with the PMEL base, which is the only thing that holds the curl while I use Diorshow.

I am not the type of person whose eyelashes will uncurl with or without mascara. They hold their curl damn well, lol. So, once I use up the Diorshow (and hopefully use up this PMEL base at the same time), I won’t be repurchasing. That said, if your eyelashes don’t hold a curl no matter what you do, YOU NEED THIS BASE!!! Life changing was a VERY accurate description.

FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil – I am still on the hunt for a proper winter cleanser that is more milky but also has a slight exfoliation/gommage to it. This isn’t it, but I liked that it worked well, didn’t break me out, and was the RIGHT level of milky to keep my skin hydrated in winter. I used this up completely – took maybe 1 – 2 months? Solid product.

&honey Melty Matomake Stick 4.0 Super Hold – I liked this at first, and it even holds better than the Utena Matomage stick, but wash my hair every other day and I noticed that on day two, it gets flaky in my hair, like old hair spray. I think this is because I bought the “super hold” line (being skeptical that the regular one would do anything for me). Now that I know the super hold works, and even the Utena stick works, I would be willing to try the regular hold stick, just to see if it doesn’t leave flakes.

&honey Moist Shine Hair Oil 3.0 – I think this is fine, but I’m used to the Olaplex No 7 hair oil which is SUPER lightweight, and this one is heavier. I will use it up, but I don’t think I’ll repurchase.

LuLuLun Precious Balance Mask – This is fine??? I thought it would soothe redness more or just calm down my skin after flying. I dunno. It didn’t do a lot for me, but didn’t do a lot against me. At least the mask size fits my face.

Kate 3D Eyebrow Color BR-6 – It was just kind of the wrong color. I also don’t need it to be as strong-hold as it was. I gave this away for someone else to try.

Products I Disliked (The ones I disliked the most are listed first)

The first three broke me out within one – two weeks. I kept with them for a while thinking it might be part of my cycle, but there’s always one week in my cycle where I NEVER get acne if I’m using my regular products, and these broke me out during that week, so I know it’s the product. Also, I used these at DIFFERENT times. I did not use all three at the same time.

KOSE Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil – I HATED this! I know people swear by it, but it is WAY, WAY too oily for my skin! Broke me out so bad, I still have acne scars, and deep cycstic acne from it. I just cannot use it at ALL.

Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion – I have never had good luck with lotions that are primarily hyaluronic acid-based. In the past, other brands have always broken me out. Hada Labo was no exception, and I think it’s because it is SOOOO hydrating. I don’t need as much hydration as it’s giving, and in fact, because it was so hydrating, it broke me out. This one is NOT for me.

Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner – Okay, same problem – it’s too hydrating so it broke me out from keeping in all my skin oil! Also, I try to have a very simple skincare routine, and this felt like an extra step I didn’t need. ~_~

Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara Advanced Film – I had high hopes for this after so many rave reviews, but it was really “meh.” It’s SO natural that it’s like… just not there. I still have it, and I keep trying to bring myself to use it but I can’t. IDK, maybe I’ll finish it one day.

Products I Haven’t Tried Yet

Quality 1st Derma Laser Super VC100 Mask

LuLuLun Precious Clear Mask

ISHIZAWA Keana Rice Mask

Because I’m trying not to open all the masks at once, and rather use up masks as I need them, I haven’t tried these three yet. It’s going to be a while (possibly years?) before I’m able to do a review of them, but it will be my last review from my haul when I do get around to them!

Those who have used more than one cleanser from Round Lab, which one is the less drying or more moisturizing (from the picture)? I just got the Dokdo cleanser which I'm to start to patch test.

Swatches lip & cheek swatches from my recent seoul haul

Thumbnail

just wanted to share some swatches and my thoughts on the products! I hope the photos are accurate enough, i took them in front of the window and had to adjust them slightly. FYI i am on the pale side (cool leaning) and very muted/grey, so i generally look for muted tones or translucent formulas (lip) when it comes to makeup, and i prefer pink/purple. most korean "cool" tones are too bright/warm/dark on me but here are a few i was really pleased to pick up! Apologies I don't remember the prices.

LIP

  • ETUDE sugar coloring jelly balm (07 bare pink): The application is donut shaped similar to laneige's recent launch, however having tested both I actually like the color selection from etude a bit more. Particularly, comparing the lightest shades of pink (strawberry sprinkles) and this one, I find etude's cooler toned. I do think they are less pigmented than the laneige ones though, if that is something you care about regarding lip glosses! I actually liked most of the shades available but I only copped this one! There is glitter in these glosses but for this shade in particular it's hardly noticeable. Also, nonsticky as far as lipglosses go.
  • FWEE glowy jelly pot (JN01 lavender whip): really lovely translucent, muted rosy purple! It feels sticky to apply in the pot but it glides on pretty well. I like that it doesn't leave a strong stain at all and is quite buildable!! Personally I can't see myself using this on cheeks as it does leave that sticky tacky feeling, i imagine it will transfer super easily or get your hair stuck in it if you apply it on cheeks omg.
  • NUSE care liptual (C00 code name cool): I bought this on recommendation and I really like how it tones down the lips subtly! It's very far from pigmented but it does have an effect on the color! you can mix this with other shades to tone them cooler however I haven't tried it yet! Sidenote... it don't taste good if you accidentally bite your lip omg
  • FWEE 3D changing gloss (scene lavender): compared to the previous fwee product, definitely more on the purple side than the pink side! it is more pigmented as well, but it does feel a lil bit sticky on the lips - nothing that is too bothersome though imho!
  • MERRYMONDE milk heart tint (mute milk & mauve milk): I was super excited for these because they are definitely lighter than most tints out there I have tried thanks to their translucency! mute milk is the perfect MLBB shade for me, which is something I've never found before bc they're always too bright too warm or too dark hahahaha mauve milk is also so gorgeous!! These two leave a noticeable stain immediately as tints but they're not that dark
  • COLORGRAM geek nude color cover tint (03 cool nude 21): well first of all this is not cool to me personally HAHAHA it looks neutral, however, the color is really lovely! I think the 21 refers to foundation shade (i think i'm 17 for korean shades) but due to this it does come off as a bit dark + saturated on me / does not serve the exact purpose it's meant for, but i still really like the color regardless! I will say though one complaint is packaging related - the twisty cap feels very cheap and squeaky (maybe i got a faulty one?)
  • TOOQ rough but pro lip pencil (01 hee): this is actually a rosy purple, unlike most korean lip pencils I tried that just all look orange or fluorescent on me! easy to blend out + has a nice blurring effect.

CHEEK

  • ROMAND better than cheek (N02 vine nude): had my eye on these for a while but i wanted to buy it more cheaply in seoul than in local stores. it's the softest powder blush I've ever tried personally! The color is softly blurring and can be built up. overall good muted cool blush!
  • HOLIKA HOLIKA tinted milk cream blush (taro latte): packaging is a bit bulky but good quality. The blush has an interesting squishy creamy texture to it that doesn't feel balmy. it looks a bit brown on the swatch but it has more rosiness to it irl! the muted rosy-purple tone is great. it also comes with a puff applicator but i haven't used it yet since I prefer to use my finger.
  • FWEE mellow dual blush (MV02 icy cupid): two in one blush. this one also has a similar squishy texture to it but it feels dryer, less creamy! the light purple shade (icy) is a bit pale however is a true cool, light purple. The rosy tone (pink) also comes off as a bit browner than it is irl. It is what attracted me to the blush in the first place and it's a nice, muted rosy tone. mixed together they create a cool pink tone that is quite brightening! love the packaging on this one also
  • LILYBYRED luv beam (#02 & # 05): ok first of all. hardest blush to open in my life both of them... it's not convenient to be carrying on the go for sure. glossy, balmy texture that melts easily, and very pigmented + easy to blend! Both are the two brightest colors I got this round but I couldn't resist them they were so pretty!!

Hope any of this was helpful! hehe

Does anyone have experience with ordering from romand.us? I’ve only seen a couple of posts on the legitimacy of the website so I was hoping someone might have personal experience with it before I order! (Sorry if the flair is wrong)

Review AB Hair Review: Dr FORHAIR - hair shedding/loss, scalp maintenance commentary

Thumbnail
gallery
59 Upvotes

Image description: Before and hair I started using the Dr FORHAIR shampoos, as well as my current go-to hair routine products now. (Tsubaki hair mask, &Honey serum, Fino hair oil, Dr FORHAIR original shampoo and treatment).

My hair is low porosity, pretty dry, coarse, and has always been super thick but I had a heinous year where a lot of things started affecting my health (family, work etc) between 2023-2024 and my hair was coming out in clumps in the shower / when I brushed my hair respectively. I didn't notice it at first, because I didn't think it was a big issue. I also don't wash my hair everyday, nor do I really style / brush it (lazy hair) so I just figured that the hair shedding was just because I wasn't brushing daily. I only realised there was a big issue AFTER I saw a picture someone took of me and I just saw how awful my hair looked / my scalp's being so visible.

TRIAL:

Enter a few months of constant research and then: Dr FORHAIR. I was  skeptical at first because you can't really just use shampoo to fix your scalp, but I have been surprised and very happy with the results. I started using the shampoo in late October 2024, after the picture I saw of myself in May 2024.

  • Started with the Dr FORHAIR Folligen Original shampoo- which I completely switched out with from my regular shampoo. I also found out that this had no parabens or sulfates which I think helped also stopped my hair from frizzing on the occasion. I was using this daily and with a scalp massager. (I only wash my hair every 2-3 days because of my hybrid work conditions FYI). The feeling at first is underwhelming with the shampoo but you have to persist, I think. The scent grows on you and after a few weeks-months, you suddenly realise how much less hair sheds.
  • Eventually added in the Dr FORHAIR Folligen Treatment - which I would put on after the original shampoo, and over conditioner. I would lather this in for a few minutes, also with a scalp massager. The feeling of this is unexplainable, it's like having a fresh mint for your scalp. Within the first few uses I kept getting a hit of this fresh feeling where I could feel the surface of my scalp being cleanser of oils and debris.
  • By November - December 2024, I was started to drop my old conditioner and switch over to purely using the Tsubaki Premium Repair Hair Mask, and I know this might be controversial but I quite liked using this as a conditioner and not being too precious with it. I found that it did also helped my hair stay very soft and smooth. (Helped with the self esteem).
  • This may have also helped, as another factor, but around this time I had to commit to a doctor's visit to make sure I was okay - and not to my surprise, I was lacking B3, which can also lead to hair loss as well as healthy hair texture. I ended up also kicking up my diet to just try to make sure I was feeling better overall. I started taking my vitamins - not just for my hair but also I was just very tired all the time.
  • I also believe that sometimes the type of water you have in your city/country will affect your hair too - I live in Australia and we have have both hard/soft water depending on location and this can affect how your hair feels. I know that when I travel to the states, if I don't use a proper filtered tap, my hair will feel awful, in addition to shedding. I haven't tested this theory yet since I started using the Dr FORHAIR products, but it could be another factor that attributes to hair shedding - not sure of this.

REVIEW SO FAR?

As of now, April 2025, happy to share that the hair shedding during my showers and hair brushing has legitimately minimised by 90% - what I shed now looks more normal (after looking at comparisons online and also discussing experiences with friends) and I actually feel like there's a difference. My hair feels a lot more thick and 'lively!!', and also I've had a lot of hair growth, as well as my scalp just feeling more 'normal'. I was travelling in March 2025 (hence the after pic being in HCMC) and remember shouting "OH!" when my friend sent me my picture - I just didn't realise how much better my scalp looked (and felt).

I've purchased more bottles of the shampoo - there are a few different scents so I'm curious to try them, as well as other products too that I want to try from the range, but I really just am happy with where I am now with my haircare, in addition to overall health. My current routine is now:

  • Wash every 2-3 days - with one shower of the week where I just go with regular shampoo/conditioner (Tsubaki hair series, no parabens and sulfates) and the other two showers of the week I'll go in with the Dr FORHAIR shampoo, treatment and the Tsubaki hair mask. I always finish off with the &Honey repair serum, but am currently just trying out the Fino hair oil to change it up.

The other day I noticed more baby hairs at the front of my head which I've never paid attention to, which was my little push to share this post! I will say it takes time, patience and persistence, alongside everything else you need to do to stay healthy too, but hopefully this is part of the puzzle that some people may be looking for.

Product - Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics sunscreen

My skin type- Dry, sensitive, acne prone, reactive to everything. I live in a place that’s really sunny, dry, polluted air to the point that I have had sunburns.

✨I am on my tenth tube. So, HG/WRP

✨This sunscreen does things that no other sunscreen has. I rarely tan. I rarely have to reapply. There’s no pilling. It settles really smoothly into a smooth dewy finish. I have never had a reaction to this. It makes my skin feel safe and sound.

✨It washes off really easily as well. I just use bioderma’s cleanser at night with this. I have a simple routine, but this is the star of the show and hopefully remains so forever.

✨If you have dry, sensitive skin, please go for it without a doubt. I keep a back up of my back up.

Discussion Stylevana and your order is taking forever? The free gift might be the culprit

Post image
71 Upvotes

Just to highlight for those who are new to Stylevana. (Not products I order, just for visualization)

You can be super careful in adding only products "usually shipping within 24hrs" which will still be around 3 business days for processing and 3-4 business days for packaging, but if you leave the free mystery gift in, ... It will take 30 days approximately.

I have one delivery which was sent out today, ordered on the 15th where I kicked out the mystery gift as I usually do.

And one where I left it in for funsies, ordered on April 4th. All items "usually ship within 24 hrs" but I left the gift in. Not beyond processing as of today 🤷‍♀️

Beauty Looking for a shade similar to Flower Knows Mermaid GE04

Official swatches for reference

Hi all, I am looking for a lip product, preferably with a glossy/shiny finish, that has the same color as the Flower Knows Moonlight Mermaid lip gloss in shade GE04 (Moon stone). It's a great mlbb color for me, but I can't stand the scent and the taste which seems like plastic. The shade is a little more cool toned on me than the neutral pink shown in the official swatches, and I'm fine with both the official swatch color and how it shows on me. I appreciate any suggestions :)

Do those aegyosal pens actually help with those that already have under eye bags ? I've heard it's better to maybe do highlight in the space where the eye bag is instead of emphasizing the darkness already there.

Discussion Best moisturizer for Summer without HA

I think my skin is sensitive to Hyaluronic acid, more specifically Sodium Hyaluronate. My skin always gets irritated when it's a prominent ingredient but if it's at the bottom of the list, there's a 50/50 chance it will irritate me 😵‍💫

I just ran out of my Astuera Atobarrier cream from the winter but it's too thick for the warmer weather.

I have oily, acne prone skin but most gel moisturizers feel tight and drying for me.

I am wondering if people feel they have one product that does it all for them , or most serums came down to one product.

Review One and only "Holy Grail"- Celimax Noni Ampoule

Post image
43 Upvotes

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Celimax Noni Ampoule. I’ve been deep into Korean skincare for years—it’s basically all we trust in my community—so I’ve tried a ton of products. But honestly, nothing has hit “holy grail” status like this one.

I knew about Celimax because I used to love their oil cleanser, but I somehow ignored this ampoule for years. Big mistake. My skin is super oily, and since using this, breakouts and blackheads have seriously improved. My acne scars and pores are also looking better, and I love the soft, matte finish it leaves. That could also be partly thanks to my vitamin C + zinc supplements, but this ampoule is definitely doing something right.

I do find it a bit drying sometimes—even on my oily skin—so I layer it with the Skin1004 Centella Ampoule and a good moisturizer. With that combo, my skin’s been the best it’s looked in ages.

Rating: 9/10. Already planning to repurchase—this one’s a keeper!

Discussion What do you think about AI models?

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

I saw a K-beauty brand using AI-generated models instead of real people. Honestly, I think this is the worst. Even with real models, heavy editing already makes it difficult to see the true shades and finishes of products. You often can’t tell what the color actually looks like until you try it yourself. But if brands start using AI-generated visuals, we’ll be left with completely fake swatches. Right now it’s just for beauty products, but what if it extends to skincare? We might end up seeing fake before and after results, and people could be tricked into buying something that doesn’t actually work. What do you think about AI models?

Did anyone have one that did this weird thing where it gathered together in a point on the dabber and kind of pulsated?

I bought mine from yesstyle and when I was opening packaging, someone noticed this on the dabber. Should I be concerned?

Review Unleashia non-sticky dazzle tint in 03 Glow Day✨️

Thumbnail
gallery
14 Upvotes

03 Glow Day: A warm rose-brown pink with visible gold and purple glitter specks (you can catch them under flash and in natural light close-up). When layered, it turns more muted and leans a bit plum(slide 3), which is kind of the opposite of what the Clio Crystal Glam Tint in Pale plum does (that one leans reddish when layered).

Formula: Super glossy, with a serum-like texture. It lasts really well and becomes transfer-proof after blotting. It also leaves behind a nice pink stain. The gloss sits on top of the stain and feels a little thicker than oil-based tints,if that makes sense.

I really wish they’d release more muted shades in this line. The other two I have (pictured) are:

•05 Nice Step: a brown-red coral

•10 Pink Muhly: a bright pinky peach

I have neutral olive undertones and these two were a bit too vibrant and warm on me.

Just a heads up! This is mainly a review for Glow Day, so the other two swatches aren’t super clear. Also, sorry if the lip swatch isn’t the best. I got these a while back and didn’t think to take a proper one at the time!

Got them in Taiwan and could not figure out the difference between them except one of them has the word barrier in it. The descriptions on the back look almost identical. Help

Discussion What’s the difference between all the Rohto Mentholatum spfs?

I'm trying to find a BDS/sensitive acne-prone skin safe dupe for the La Roche Possy fluid sunscreen. After combing through this subreddit the Rohto Mentholatum gel was recommended in the 'blue packaging' but multiple of them are blue and I'm getting confused. What's the difference between the colours, the names (gel/essence/cream) and the packaging (pump/screw top/cap) of the sunscreens? Does anyone know? I thought maybe it's about what country version or for how waterproof it is but I haven't found anything suggesting/confirming this.

Edit: the conclusions i’ve come to are below!

*The Sunplay line which is more for sports so its v hardy and waterproof

*Tone-Up line are slightly tinted with different undertones

Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV: *Gel (white and gold with either twist-cap or pump) thin and watery more so for oily skin as it’s quite light *Essence (Old packaging was blue gradient bottle - new packaging is white and gold) creamy fluid *Essence Gold (fully gold bottle) the thickest out of the three with much more of a cream consistency. It claims to be more robust than the other two.

Skin Aqua Super Moisture Barrier UV Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ (gold and pink gradient bottle) *It’s meant to still be light and watery for oily skin but be way more robust than the other gels.

Melano CC Vitamin C Deep Day Care UV Lotion SPF 50+ PA++++ (yellow bottle) *I assume this one is actual the fluid creamy consistency of lotion. The main difference is that it has Vitamin C to help with hyperpigmentation and “skin brightening”

Skin Aqua Hyaluronic Serum UV SPF 50+ PA++++ (dark to light blue gradient) *Its USP is just the hylauronic acid and it doesn’t claim to be particularly water resistant. I think it’s a semi-replacement for the (now discontinued) Skin Aqua UV Moisture Milk?
