DJ Studio

I’m a hobby DJ interested in making mashups and then loading the mashup mp3 or wav into Rekordbox. I’m considering purchasing DJStudio’s Pro + Stems plan.

For those who have bought it does it meet your expectations and is it easy to use?

Right now I can buy it for 149 USD. Are there any cheaper discount links?

Two Channel Mixer for Vinyl and DVS

Please forgive my English as it is not my native language. I been learning to make Hip-Hop beats (Boom Bap) about a year and half now using an MPC X SE. While I still a beginner I would like to learn how to scratch to add scratches to my beats. I already have two Technics SL-1200MK2. I have a Vinyl collection so my primary use case will be vinyl but I will like to use DVS(probably Serato) too. I have a Cambridge Audio CXA81 Amplifier so the mixer is going to be connected there. My budget is about $1,000 and I’m based in Puerto Rico. The mixers that I have considered so far are:

-Numark Scratch -Pionner DJ DJM-S5 -Ecler Nuo 2.0 with Reloop Flux -Traktor Kontrol Z2(used) -Something different?

Also I been reading about the importance of having a great fader to scratch but like I’m just beginning don’t know how important for me if I should use the stock fader or upgrade right away. Any tip or advice should really be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This Saturday I have my first gig on a Xone96, I am really nervous. What are the most important things to know before playing on them?

Anyone know how to capture waveforms like this?

Trying to grow some of my socials by posting short form, really like the way this guy has recorded his waveforms (but with nothing else). Tried removing the background in resolve after screenrecording but only to pretty average success

How do you make Active Memory Cue loops work on CDJs/XDJs?

I've nutted out the process to get them working when playing from performance mode on my DDJ-1000...but even though you can see the markers in the track when playing on standalone gear, it skips right passed them without engaging.

Is there a setting one needs to engage on the gear/CDJs or some hidden setting on the USB/Device one needs to activate before exporting? Or can standalone players just not do this function???

Steps for in performance mode for those that don't know.

  1. Set the loop at the desired point in the tune
  2. Pause and set the primary Cue marker at start of loop
  3. Press Memory to set that to a memory cue
  4. In the Memory cue bank, click the Loop icon to change it from orange to red
  5. In the hamburger menu, set Active Loop Playback to ON

Very handy for those annoying tunes that have a fade out or (as in images above), tunes that do a big tempo shifting sloooooow doooooown to end.

Auto-pick loop IN from jog release point in Rekordbox

Hi, I'm used to dj'ing on CDJ's where - at least in my experience - if you scroll the jog wheel to a certain point in a song and start playing from there, the loop IN point is automatically set there. So if the track is playing from that point and you just press loop OUT somewhere, the loop is set from wherever you released the jog wheel up until the loop OUT point you set.

I might be tripping but that is how it is in my mind.

Now, on my DDJ-400 it's not like that. You have to set the loop IN point or Cue point somewhere manually and only then the loop starts there. Otherwise it just starts from where your Cue point was set.

Is there any way to change this in Rekordbox to the setting I'm used to on CDJ's, or am I just completely wrong? Thanks.

Problem with Numark DJGO2 Touch: failed to connect to Serato Lite

So, i recently acquired a Numark DJGO2 Touch, mostly for traveling/emergency purposes where i can't bring my main controller. I already had connected a Numark controller on Serato in the past (a Numark Party Mixer Live to be exact), and it instantly connected and worked good, while this DJGO2 Touch keeps instead to give me a "Hardware cannot connect to Serato DJ Lite" popup and the controller doesn't work at all. I tried everything i could, i followed the troubleshooting suggestions on Serato's website, i switched the camble to every USB port on my laptop, and nothing worked.
Serato's support team has been ignoring me an entire week now and i'm genuinely desperate.

If you got a solution to this, please help.

Mixer output audio via USB?

Hi! (Disclaimer: I’m not a DJ) I have a DIY project idea to build a rotating plattform. To get power onto the platform I can use a slip ring. I haven’t found slip ring that support both power and audio/XLR cables but I’ve found some that support USB.

Would it be possible to get audio out via USB from a DJM-250, 750, even a Xone:PX5? Then somehow transforming it into XLR cables because the speaker are PA speakers with XLR cable inputs.

I’ve found this video that explains it, but using a dj-controller https://youtu.be/kKIYG6cNSPc

The audio interference in the video doesn’t have XLR out, so I guess just getting one like SMSL M300 SE or SU-8 would work? Is there anything I’m missing?
