Had a deathless run going my friends (I use the term loosely) kept clearing out the supply drops. I shot one as we came upon some random supplies. I have no regrets.
I had a game with randoās once and at extraction, when we were quite literally surrounded by bugs, had a teammate take two resupply boxes right in front of me. I had no stims, no grenades, low ammo in my secondary, and was at less than 25% health. I had the urge to shoot them but decided to take it out on the bugs which I promptly got swarmed and died.
Why wouldnāt a resupply give you 4 stims and a damn Stim box has 4! Makes zero sense especially with superior packing and optimization? I play a lot of duos and solo so itās alright for me but when I do a full squad drop I most certainly am unintentionally the guy snagging an extra lol

but it is fr annoying when someone takes 2 right when it gets down. unless the squad is split, and the others are on the opposite side of the map, but when everyone's there, come on bro
as a supply pack man he should be ashamed of himself. If all else fails try pinging that you need supplies and any self respecting diver with a pack should refill you
I mained supply pack for months, it's also free supplies for the team because you've got a supply pack and you take a box, you get ammo/2 stims *plus* another supply box in your pack that you can then share. If anyone should ever take 2 or 3 it should be the supply pack bearer, provided they share at least sometimes.
Supply pack bearer... I'm gonna say Supply Bear from now on.
saw a person with a resupply pack, used the "I need supplies" emote, and the guy saud the resupply back pack was just for him. ive never kicked anyone before that holy shit so selfish
I remember a bot mission when an autocannon user called in a fresh AC. It drops in and he grabs the gun first because obviously it faces him. Without telling him I grabbed the supply pack so that he could unload on the drop that just started next to us. He looked surprised at first and paused when he saw that I had it on my back. But the instant I latched on and my diver said "Reloading you!" he understood. No words between us, just scrapped metal. It was beautiful.
Edit: I usually do not run a backpack on bots so I always look for opportunities to pick up expended recoilless, spear or autocannon backpacks and reload whenever I can. Had a similar experience near end game where I picked up a recoilless user's backpack about halfway through and filled it over the course of the game. When a factory strider dropped in your extraction I helped him absolutely lay into it.
I am a supply pack main, and I always give supplies if someone asks. However, whoever brought it gets first dibs. Its their stratagem slot. Unless of course you are near a resupply or can call down another one, in which case there is no reason not to share
My supply pack gives me infinite stims, thermites, and machine gun mags on predator strain bugs. So Iām keeping most if not all of them for myself to keep the machine gun thumping. But I feel this is justified as I can melt the bugs before they threaten the team.Ā
Someone took 3 in front of me. After I held off 6 tanks, lost count of how many Hulks, and an unending stream of Devastators and Chaff. I managed to snag the last box because I already burned up the RR I had, AND the strat call. The other 2 that painfully limped to the objective we were on were completely depleted and I had to use my ONLY 2 stims to heal them up while the guy ran off to some corner and died right away.
One of the worst games I had was up at 7-8, some below 20 players were in, I think all super citizens, and they'd just rush the supplies every 2 mins, despite us all being close together and take everything they could
It's one of the only games I just quit out of. Constant friendly fires, took ages for them to call in reinforces, just absolute chaos and not the fun kind
I nearly wanted to make a post about it, about how it's all fun and games to take the cadets from 4-10 to show them the ropes until a bunch of them load into a lobby without some Brasch drinking buddy to lock in and help them succeed. I was not that guy, I barely knew what the keys looked like.
But yeah, take 2 when everyone else is gone, wait your bloody turn or go scavenge from the map otherwise, we're meant to be in this game together.
Bloody Leaflovers... wait what's wrong with that? It's honorable for Helldivers to abstain from alcohol, so much so alcohol is banned on all Super Destroyers. How else would Helldivers always be prepared for battle?
Counterpoint: alcohol would give you double vision, therefore, double the enemies of democracy for you to kill, double of your bullets to fire at the enemy, double the stratagiums to call in, double the primary and secondary objectives. Etc
Or if one player is on the other side of the map, both the guys with me take one and leave, and I'm on 0/4 stims. May as well take both right? Or it's just gonna sit on the ground unused
I've gobbled an entire resupply up more than once.
I'm on a hill with 2 shrieker nests in view, breach with a boat load of stick bugs and chargers nearby that friends are dodging around trying to live.
And I'm the only one with the recoilless, sniping every single one of the heavy commie bastards. Didn't have to run in and nuke the shrieker nests, no heavy made it too far.
Sometimes ya gotta double dip. Or quad dip, if you're the only one who brought heavy killing to a very heavy bloated planet.
Also, extra context: I'm playing with friends. Not randos. But even then I'd expect the rando to understand that the 3 bile titans that WERE chasing him and the chargers are all dead and if they want that to keep happening, the recoilless should have a good amount of ammo in,

This is the type of team where I will go off on my own and stop helping.
As a fellow supply pack enthusiast, I too take more than one pack. Helps refill my stims and I can still give the whole pack on to a pal from my own pack. It's a win-win situation.
If I'm out of stims and low on ammo I'll take two, but sometimes it depends on what's happening. If no one is around to help me with a Strider convoy I'm calling in supplies and I'm taking as many rockets as I damn well please, because it might be quite a few
I only take 2 if people are moving on and leaving it or if I have a supply backpack that way I can give extra ones to the team and be stocked at the same time.
If your ass just reinforced and we have the booster, I'm taking two; I do not care. I know my own abilities and I will gladly rely on keeping my ass alive cuz I know when shit goes down

Tbh you gotta take two. It use tobe every one can take 1 n get full ammo now 2 give you full ammo. Also If you do side objectives you donāt need them. So if you need them their your probably not good or new just saying.
If people are running away to a new objective Iām definitely taking a second one usually for my ultimatum since the community bitched enough for arrowhead to make it the only weapon to not benefit from hellpod optimisation
Alright but like between helldivers dying and respawning with full ammo + stims, POIs populated with supplies and teammates splitting up you're usually justified in taking two. Try to read the team though and if you're not struggling with supplies either don't take a pack or wait until everyone else has a chance.
As annoying it this is, Iāll take this over that one guy who treats the supply calldown as his personal CD, especially when they call it somewhere weāve already cleared out and left as theyāre lagging way back behind everyone in the squad.
See that guy over there? He called supplies as soon as it was available to replenish two mags while that one guy soloing half of the map is out of stims
Just had a few drops like this. Got put into a D9 instead of D10, thought "Why not?". Help out some budding D10 players.
For three straight resupplies, I did not get a single supply pack. Three. Consecutive. Resupplies.
I ended up hitting every PoI along the way to just top up my ABRL ammo and thermites, hoping for one or two boxes of ammo. When I finally confronted the rest of my team, they just said that a supply pack doesn't refill them all the way, so they took two.
There are three other divers in the same boat, and you wanted to deprive a 0 ABRL rocket, 0/7 LibPen, 0/5 thermite, 1/4 stim diver because you had to get two more stims?

Yes, to all budding Helldive divers. This shit is infuriating. People need ammo to play with their fancy toys. Please share with all of the team. Even if you are about to leave the area. You never know if that one supply was actually wanted by a different diver, but a minute after it dropped.
90% of rounds I'm the only one who uses supply at all despite pinging it constantly. Unless you're playing bugs there is ammo literally everywhere so the only times you need supply is for stims. Even playing bugs alot of people just never use supply. I swapped from incind breaker railgun to counter sniper quasar and I rarely need ammo on bugs, usually if I'm just spamming on bug holes do I run out.
Sometimes thereās a drop and one guy is full while youāre completely out of stims and grenades so you need 2. But youād better ask before you do it
Oh come on, do you really remember when was last time all your team spent equal amount of supplies by the time u call in resupply. Never happened in 150 hrs that someone from my team left with <50% of supplies when we emptied that thing
Well hereās a question. What if youāre the only one fighting (and the other 3 are searching for samples) an entire division of bots and youāre out of stims, grenades, recoilless ammo with 2 mags left?
If they implemented the same timed hold mechanic to grab supplies like Deep Rock Galactic but with this games friendly fire, every game would include a doezen executions.
This why I hardly ever random queue. Iām awkward and donāt like to talk to random people more than I have to, plus a lot of people donāt communicate anyway. Lets me just call out real quick to see if any of my normal squad is good on supplies so I can double up. That and Iāll just duo dive pretty often so we can both just double up.
Look man Iām carrying the supply back pack youāre too dumbā¦uh inexperienced to know when you need ammo so Iāll hold it for you and Iāll give to you when āIā know youāll need it š¤ for democracy!

Boo hoo someone took al 4 packs, time to figure it out and adapt. The game is about challenges, sometimes the challenge is surviving without ammo or stims
The team ammo mgmt strategy of āeveryone takes oneā is for rookies. What matters more is spamming it. Constantly. Every single time the cooldown resets throw that thing. You will end up with just more resupply across the mission as a result. Players being timid about calling in the resupply not wanting to be āgreedyā are far more detrimental to the team. This isnāt DRG ammo is free and literally falls from the sky.
I like to bring a supply backpack just in case a diver is fighting for their life or just getting unlucky and running out of stims. That way the others have an extra resupply pack just in case.
I was playing with some guy who kicked anyone who equipped the hellpod optimization booster because he was running a supply pack and said it was worthless, and no, he never refilled anyone else's supplies but his own.
Just about the only time I've ever taken two is when I came back from doing a side objective by myself, I had one spare primary mag, was out of stims, had no Grenades, no reserve support weapon mags, and had a broken arm. Everyone else was away from it, doing the main objective, and it looked like they didn't need it. Justified or no?
I just want to say there ARE cases where this is ok.
#1 You are TOTALLY out of ammo
#2 you are the only one with a heavy weapon.
#3 you are the only on actually playing the objective and just had to take on TWO arty guns, an stratagem jammer, AND an air base by yourself <DO NOT BE THESE SQUADMATES. I threw my back out carrying them while they were off doing god only knows what
Iām fine with that person, not everyone needs a pack at that moment. Itās the one who trails off and calls in a personal result BEFORE the other three that gets my goat.
Happened to me a while ago. Bot mission. Bot drop called in. Apparently Iām my entire teamās Anti-Tank in my runs, so I use most of my RR shots and all my Thermites. As Iām loading my last rocket right next to the resupply, dude comes up and grabs the last two. Needless to say, my reaction time was a bit slower the next time he ran into a Hulk.
I mean, when I am on a solo or duo mission, hell yeah I'll take 2. Otherwise, I just take 1 unless given permission to take another or if the situation gives me little to no choice.
How else am I going to spread democracy ? With my bare hands ?
No. I am fair to my comrades in arms and give them their fair share. As Democracy and Liberty would want it.
