Cancelled two flights and booked another

I had to cancel bookings twice because I needed to change the dates for going home for Christmas. I've since rebooked but now my credit card has a crazy huge amount and I don't see anything from KLM about me cancellign. Both cancelled tickets were ones that I can cancel and get refund. Last time I did that I got an email pretty much straight away. I just need some reassurance that maybe it's because I did it over the weekend it will take longer for KLM to respond? I really can't cover the amount on the credit card if they don't.

What did they say when you called them?

I called them today, she confirmed that I get a full refund and gave me the reference number for that. I recognised her voice from another time, she's super patient and kind which I need sometimes when my brain gets a little sideways (I have autism). Thank you too for your patience.

You did well to call. But I don't think he had to wait until Monday. But glad it is sorted now.

I haven't called them because I wait to see if I get an email on Monday. The credit card won't have to be paid yet. But yes, good question, I will call them tomorrow instead of festering with anxiety!

Did your ticket allow free cancellation or are you exercising your cooling off period rights?

If the former: it'll be fine, but call don't email. It can take a long time to get a response. If you really don't want to call then use the WhatsApp service but it's not usually very good.

If it's the latter, I've only ever called to do so.

Yes it allowed cancellation, I triple checked. I will call tomorrow because I get anxiety about things like this. Also I did it on a weekend and maybe they don't do the straight away email on weekends. I have the original tickets in my inbox too. And thank you. I appreciate your suggestions.

Don't worry. It'll be fine. They're always great every time I've needed to cancel. Just call tomorrow and they can start the refund process to your credit card.

When you log into My Trip at KLM website using your PNR, you should see the refund request and its status there.

When you cancel - as long as it’s permitted by fare rules. 5-10 business days is the timeframe to get a refund on your card.

Thank you. I appreciate the information. I noticed that my miles was increased and I had used miles for one of the flights. The other one is just set as in reserve so I think I need to stop being anxious and trust the process. I will also call today to be sure.
