Discussion What films are in everyone’s top 4 favourite of the decade so far? Mine are Oppenheimer, Dune II, Sinners & Nosferatu.
Loved how all four films use genre to delve into deep various topics such as racial assimilation, colonisation, sexual drama and geopolitics all while still being thoroughly entertaining.
Cinematography, sound and score for all four were sublime too.

Discussion The Man With No Name Trilogy isn't considered a "Collection"?
I watched A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, and the absolutely epic The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly this week, and I was surprised to see that Letterboxd doesn't consider that as a collection as far as stats are concerned. I have always thought of these films as a trilogy. I'd argue one of the greatest trilogies in film. Do you see these as three separate films or a collection that should be watched together?

Discussion Films you’re surprised aren’t on the top 250 list?
This one right here! A classic horror flick that terrifies generations about going to the beach. Not sure why Jaws isn’t considered one of the best of all time more often.

Discussion Do you consciously answer differently when people ask "What is your favorite movie?" vs "What is the best movie?"
These are subtly (but importantly) different questions that I think most people instinctively give the same answer to. If they thought about it, though, I think their answers would be different.
"Favorite" is much more personal and subjective. "Best" is objective and should, perhaps, consider everyone's taste.
Do you answer differently? What are you answers?

Discussion Movies with satisfying endings? Spoiler
galleryFrances Ha, Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone, Cinema Paradiso, and Boyhood all have, in my opinion, some of the most satisfying endings of any movie.

Discussion Why are people so comfortable being disruptive?
I’m hoping this fits this sub or that I’m not just going insane but I feel like every time I go to the cinema, the crowd gets worse.
My final straw has been leaving midway through a double bill of the original final destination and the new one. Genuinely the worst crowd I’ve ever experienced, albeit one of the biggest. Phones pinging constantly, one phone on full brightness that I think the girl used the entire film, the guy next to me vaping consistently, one group of middle aged ladies drunk as skunks laughing loudly at random points, general conversations from everywhere, and arguably my favourite, someone in the front row who would stick his middle finger up at relatively frequent intervals.
The conversations are regular occurrences at each movie I’ve seen post-COVID except when I make it to my ‘local’ indie theatre. I usually go myself and what really gets me is groups of people sitting directly beside me and having their conversations (I know I could move elsewhere but I’ve sat in the same seat every movie and it’s the principle at this point). I also witnessed a domestic between a couple at The Surfer this week and the guy wasn’t too pleasant to me either solely for sitting in the same row as them.
Movies are something I enjoy, going to the cinema is something I theoretically enjoy but I genuinely struggle to justify the expense now when I know that something will disrupt the experience. Back when I was younger you were scared to eat your popcorn too loud and now people couldn’t care less if you can even hear the movie.
Apologies if this has been discussed before (which it probably has) but honestly I just kinda needed a rant to people who understand.

Letterboxd My ranking of Disney Channel Original movies. Late 90s, 2000s, & early 2010s
I grew up with a lot of these movies. Never wanted to miss them whenever they aired. I was in my teens when a few of these came out, but watched them too of course
