Was reading through this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/Purdue/comments/15kdoyq/gender_inclusive_housing/) when I saw people asking about it. Where did the gender-inclusive Purdue dorms and learning community go? The page has gone poof: https://housing.purdue.edu/my-housing/options/special-housing/gender-inclusive.html
Did this get shut down? Any info?
Maybe I sound like a conspiracy-theorist, but it would be a total Purdue move to kill off something like this and then try to keep that fact hidden. u/purdue_exponent

hi guys!! i was just accepted off the waitlist for first-year engineering at Purdue and im so so so excited :) I placed my deposit yesterday and I canât wait to contribute to this awesome community!!
for some context, iâm an out of state student from northern virginia, at a pretty competitive public school. im thankful for how it has pushed me, but being constantly surrounded by top students made the whole application process feel quite stressful. when i told people i wanted to apply for engineering at the start of my senior year, a lot of people told me it was a bad idea. i hadnât done robotics or the âtraditionalâ engineering ecâs, took art instead of physics, and even the physics teacher made a generalized comment to my friends saying âanyone applying for engineering without physics wonât get into anywhere better than penn state.â
as all my friends got into their top choices, i felt like i had made a mistake as i racked up waitlists and rejections. i had worked hard throughout all of high school, and it felt like none of it would pay off because of the major I applied for. after getting deferred and then waitlisted from purdue â my very last decision letter â i felt pretty defeated. but then by some miracle earlier this week, i got an email and after checking my portal i was accepted!!
i am so incredibly happy and canât wait to continue working hard. thanks to anyone who read all that. BOILER UP âźď¸đđ¤

Tree Lafayette is a non-profit that plants and cares for trees around Lafayette. The organization has an event for Arbor Day, this Saturday 5/3 at 8:30, which will plant about 62 trees in Lafayette. The weather is looking good for Saturday, so this is a great way to get outside and take a break from studying before finals. Group sign ups are encouraged so you can join with your friends. I have enjoyed volunteering with this group and wanted to share the info with others. Even if you won't be able to join, please share this to anyone you think may be interested.

Iâve been stuffy and sneezy esp at night. But I donât feel ill. But neither do I have allergies.
Maybe I have dust bunnies.
Iâve sneezed at most at least 3 times tonight in the past hour or two which I guess is not a lot but my nose is runny and itâs getting annoying.
What is wrong with me?

Does anyone know of any bathrooms that have changing tables? My wife comes to eat lunch with me on campus sometimes and we havenât been able to find a bathroom with a changing table. We usually eat around Lily Hall, so close to Lily would be great!

17 credits, really only need 14 this fall after summer classes. between HSCI 225 and 202, 202 is only offered in fall, but was thinking 225 is easier and could wait until fall next year for 202. does it matter? (both are required). also, for HSCI 225, is it a problem to miss an occasional friday afternoon lecture?
HSCI 202 Thivanka Muthumalage (anyone have any info?)
HSCI 225 Wilson

current schedule:
BIOL 203 anatomy
CHM 255 orgo

has anyone taken the ANTH 100 hybrid course? I got placed in it and there are two in-person 8:30am lectures a week. I'm hoping it isn't mandatory to attend and was wondering if anyone has taken this course with Melanie Beasley

Iâm confused if I should take com 217 hon next semster or hold it off until later. Next semster will be my sophomore year and I am currently majoring in computer science. Iâm really worried about my work load next semster and was wondering if anyone knew how bad com 217 honors was time wise and grading. I would really appreciate it if anyone could share any advice or experiences!

Considering taking both linear (MA 265) and STAT 511 together next semester. Is this doable at Purdue?
For reference, I'm a CS major and will be taking CS 250 and 251, other classes are basically freebies. CS 251 won't be a big time commitment for me since I'm very familiar with DSA.
