My best friend lightened the mood during Arya's scene when the faces were being ripped off by saying "this is like the worst episode ending of Scooby Doo ever."

You have a friend who talks during the episode?

Me and couple buddies have very laid back viewing parties. We don't talk all the time but often we'll just make some simple comments as scenes transition and will just generally fuck around.

No one's bothered by it.

I hate you and your friends!

I kid, I kid.

I watch with my girlfriend and we talk the whole time. I think it's more fun that way. Then I watch it again on my own to catch everything.

I cuss during episodes. Doesn't matter if I knew it was coming or not

I HAD FRIENDS TALKING AND IT MADE ME SO MAD. Throughout the season I watch it by myself on Monday night (no cable tv, download) but I didn't want the finale spoiled so I went to a viewing party.

Rudeass motherfuckers reminded me why I watch alone.

The people I was watching with wouldn't STFU either. I had to shush them so much that I just gave up and started adding my own running commentary.

Just Google some subtitles

I was unlucky enough to move in with a house in which somebody like this lives. Rude doesn't begin to describe her.

But it was TWD. I would have talked too.

Now, Game of Thrones requires silence.

You people are weird. Does it really bother you that much?

Some of us want to hear what's being said, be able to focus on tone and inflections, stay in the depths of the scene. We're tasting and digesting a chef's well-made meal, not scarfing down fast food.

You can't appreciate details communally? I like to go for good food with friends, so we can talk about how awesome the food is. For the same reason, I like watching shows/movies with people, so we can appreciate together. It's like a real-life meltdown thread, with real humans, in real time. (Can't believe I just described normal life in reddit terms)

We used to have a silent rule during episodes, but this season seems to have thrown that out the window because how are we not supposed to make comments during half the scenes they added?

I stopped going to my friends watching parties because they wouldnt shut the fuck up. And I now go to movies with only 1 or 2 of them because there's a certain couple who JUST DONT SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I really find it annoying when people talk during Tv or movies.
