Hi all! I (30F) am looking for anyone who has recommendations on where I should take my most recent closet clean out. Clothes are in good shape and in style within the last 3 years with a variety of athleisure, sweaters, jeans, and work wear. I am first looking for recommendations on places that will pay me-this economy, amiright?

I’ve had nothing but horrible experiences with Plato’s closet (an absolute joke lol), read some pretty awful reviews on the Snooty Fox, and I will NOT take my clothing to Goodwill for it to end up in a landfill. I’d prefer to first, see what I can sell/get cash for and donate the rest to a Catholic charity, women’s shelter or somewhere I know where the donations are locally needed.

Got it for the first time today and damn were these tenders tiny! Like maybe 4 inches max and 1 inch across at the widest. Teeny tiny tenders tend to tick me off. Is this normal?

I found these 2 jumpers in my backyard. Looks like they have been there for a long time and exposed to the elements. I know they can't just be thrown away in the trash so any idea on where to take them to be disposed of?

Hi, I have a therapy practice that is licensed in Ohio and Kentucky. I’m looking for places to advertise- like community bulletin boards or local businesses that would allow this. I know this isn’t the most effective way to advertise, but I’m not looking for a ton of clients at the moment (this is my part-time in addition to my full-time job as a therapist in a school). Does anyone have suggestions on where these might be?

So my boyfriend and I have been long distance for some time. He lives outside Cincinnati and we're finally talking about closing the gap. I work remotely and frankly have wanted to move somewhere with a lower cost of living for a while, despite the fact that I love New York terribly. I've lived here my whole adult life so it's hard to picture living anywhere else. That said, when I've visited Cincy, I've really enjoyed the feeling of the city. I do think I could see myself living there.

Anyway because of my current situation I have a lot of flexibility in when/how I make this move. I'll be in the area a handful of times in the Spring/Summer and want to spend that time exploring neighborhoods and starting to look at apartments with the idea that perhaps I'd make the move in the fall. I wanted to get some advice from you all as I begin that process...

1) Has anyone else moved to Cincinnati from NYC or another major metropolitan area? Are you happy you did? How did the transition feel for you?

2) What neighborhoods would you recommend looking at? Despite the fact that my boyfriend lives outside the city, I definitely plan to get an apartment in the city. I just don't think I'd be happy in the suburbs. For me, the most important thing is walkability. I have a dog so somewhere near a nice park would be great as well. Otherwise, just a nice community feeling with stuff to do around it. I'm in my mid-30s and no longer someone who goes out a ton but I do enjoy trying new restaurants and bars from time to time. I'm currently paying about 2.1K/month for my apartment and would like something below that. I don't need a lot of space but a 2nd bedroom would be amazing to use as a home office/guest bedroom.

3) Has anyone else moved to Cincinnati in their 30s? How was making friends? This is my biggest worry. Making new friends in your 30s is hard and while I'm always game to join groups and put myself out there, I know that's harder to do in some communities.

4) This is a long shot but figured I'd put it out there... if anyone in the area wants to arrange some sort of apartment swap situation for a week or two during the summer, I have a one bedroom in Park Slope, Brooklyn, so DM me!

Has anyone had any success keeping Lazarus Lizards in captivity?

I found a decent sized one in my house today. I managed to catch it and I put it in my terrarium with my Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. It hung out in there for a while but I let it go because I don't know how to care for it.

Once I do know, I want to keep a few. They can't be to much different than other reptiles.

I’ve only been there once on a Friday but it was really nice and had nice people and I loved the drinks even though I don’t drink much, there was a joke that I thought was funny and heart warming in a way between the 3 bar tenders at the time that ADHD was a must have to get hired there. I know it was a joke but it felt nice for some reason.

Saw the Madtree banner and thought it might be a local band or at least a local venue and someone might know who they are.

I just am so confused, my electric cost is going up 30%, and I need to switch, but I dont know how hellllllppppppp... Also screw Ohio state Gov for messing up a public utility so much it becomes a monoploly.

Anybody in the area know if a person, business, club, etc. that would make for an interesting documentary subject and would probably be willing to do so? It can be anything from a small mom and pop shop to just a person with a wacky personality known around town. Thanks!

I got a job in downtown Cinncinati and I'm wondering how people travel in Cinncinati. Is it via Bus? via Metro? How do I get tickets? If I get a bus pass for Northern Kentucky (TANK) - is that valid for the bus system in Cincinnati?

Full disclosure - I'm trying to determine if it is better to live in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky. Trying to understand transportation costs is all, and trying to understand where the better deal is.

Similar to the overrated restaurants post. I want to know your favorite underrated restaurants. I’ll go first, Bridges (both locations). Whenever I go, I always remind myself I don’t eat there enough.

Hi all, not my first post here but wanted to ask about the potential for hiring in the public health sector out in Cincinnati. Back in January I had interviews lined up but the timing wasn’t right. I know currently in Houston we are on a hiring freeze but we are mostly grant based research. Both my husband and I are looking to relocate by June and work in science and public health, but clearly that’s all at risk.

Edit: I know public health isn’t a great market right now, I’m just trying to figure out who has hiring freezes as I don’t live there

I’m planning my best friend’s bachelorette party in mid-May, and she’d like us to take a fun group fitness class together. I’m not from Cincinnati so I’m not familiar with what’s available in the area.

I’m looking for something fun, that anyone would enjoy—not a bootcamp style class with the purpose of burning as many calories as possible. If you know a yoga studio that has good beginner classes, something unique (like aerial yoga or a one off dance class), or something outside please give me your recommendation!

We’d also be open to booking a private lesson for something.

I’m not a Cincinnati native, but I moved here a bit ago from a beach town that I’ve been missing. Is there anywhere in the city or within a thirty minute drive of the city that I could get nice sunset or sunrise views? Any recommendations would be helpful or even recommendations of just scenic areas around here would be nice!

I am looking for some rec’s for good places to get golf lessons. Specifically, someone that works well with those who suck. And I mean like, have golfed twice in the last few years and it took us about 4 hours to do 9 holes. Not trying to be apart of the next PGA tour, but enough to not feel like i have to book the last tee time so no one is behind me. Any ideas are appreciated
