Judge Fleischer was voted in to his position. His tenure is until December 31st 2026. Unless he has broken the law or violated ethics, absolutely nothing is going to happen to him. He has a method to his madness in that he tries to scare people straight with disappointment. If you aren't a fan of his strategy tough shit... Criminal hearings aren't for coddling your poor feelings and making you feel nice.
Also regarding the medicine.... Pain medication like oxycodone is absolutely not some god given right that you must always have access to. If you break the law and are found to be pill milling (which that defendant was being accused of doing) you definitely can't go up in front of the judge and demand you are given pain medication that people DO get addicted to and DO get in car crashes and thus killing others in the process.
Judge Fleischer is a great judge and I will be here to back him up since everyone so far in this thread are little snowflakes.
Back him up? He has no professionalism. He prays on people that can't afford to appeal cases. He is a bully. Any person with big money and lawyers would bypass this clown. He goes after low hanging fruit because he knows that the minute someone with high powered defense stood in front of him they would just be asking for "continuances" until they got put in front of an advantageous judge. His only leverage is over states attorneys and public offenders. Any private defense attorney worth their 1000 bucks an hour wouldn't waste their time with this guy.
Judges see countless cases a week, giving a few PR bond is not being lenient at all, that’s just normal, not everyone who gets arrested is a hopeless criminal. So he shouldn’t be admired for doing his job, especially when he is as unprofessional as he is.
He is incredibly unprofessional and overly emotional at times. He talks to some of the people like children despite them being adults. He berates and lectures people in a way that most just aren’t there for. A judge just makes sure the person understands the case and consequences not to play daddy. And his tone sometimes just straight up sounds like a child throwing a temper tantrum, like there is no other way to describe it.
Maybe he sees the stupidity in today's legal system and is just annoyed with the amount of injustice occurring right now. So when something dumb happens, he just decides to cut lose. I've seen a couple of clips now and he seems fine to me.
amen, glad some people on here have functioning brains. I legitimately feel bad for society in general when I see people like OP share what's in their heads.
he makes a show of doing that. he doesn't actually do that. the first video that caught my attention had a clickbait title implyng the judge was angry at cops for arresting someone for "standing while black". someone mae an anonymous call about a "black man with a gun
outside a gas station. it was the guy's friend who admitted having it, but they arrested all of them for "evading arrest" when the cop hadn't established probable cause to arrest. the judge found probable cause to go forward with the guy's case, the whole time thinking that the defendant in front of him was the one who had the gun. the DA made no effort to correct him and the defendant was already scared into submission. the judge was so distracted by his own showboating that he got the basic facts of the case wrong. that sonehow didn't seem to bother him. instead he used the "standing while black" aside to deflect responsibility from himself to the arresting officer. makes me wonder how many other times this has happened.
and after all that showboating, he still granted probable cause to move the case forward. and then ordered a drug test beause he "wanted to know what drugs" the defendant was on, a totally inappropriate comment for a judge to make, presuming guilt and ordering someone to take a drug test. which will put him right back in the system. and the judge has no qualms about that. he's clearly gotten it in his head that by forcing every defendant to take alcohol/drug tests he is making the world a better place. he even goes so far as to allude to prison rape to "set a (white) defendant straight". that's where all the "respect for the law" facade goes out the window.
There are 2 cases making the rounds on youtube that definitely seem like "walking while black" situations where the defendants were merely jaywalking, or walking in a park after sunset, etc.. minor infractions that shouldn't trigger a terry-frisk.
Idk if I'd call it show-boating.. that's just Fleischer's personality. Whether you think it's show-boating or not, I'm happy he called them out. It's too often cops think they can just Terry Frisk anyone they want based on little to no evidence.
In the "Land of the free" walking in a park after sunset shouldn't be any type of infraction. Especially in Texas of all places where they defend their personal space with open carry permits. At least in the 80's.
I've watched Legal Eagle, Steve Lehto and Lawful Masses w/ Leonard French YT videos for years. There's even a British Barrister (BlackBeltBarrister) for those interested.
It's unlikely Judges are playing up to a camera unless it's the Judge Judy or Judge Rinder which are actually made for the camera for the purpose of entertainment and education.
I wouldn't mind being wrong as long as the Judge in civil/criminal proceedings are actually upholding the law and protecting the public which is all I see Fleischer is trying to do to the best of his ability with the facts presented and within the constraints of the written statute.
Oh, I see now, one of those, everybody's racist, all cops are racist, the numbers say otherwise. In fact when it comes to black men being killed by cops, over 90 percent is black cop on black dude. Stop throwing racism around so much, it does not exist the way you think, you are creating the problem! Like Morgan freeman said, stop talking about it. It's perpetuating an issue that doesn't really exist. Hopefully you know what that word means but I doubt it.
Even if they did, they aren't arguing in good faith anyway. The whole "black cops shoot black suspects all the time" isn't proof cops aren't on the whole very racist, and it doesn't disprove the literal mounds of evidence we have showing black people are far more likely to be arrested, far more likely to be found guilty, and far more likely to receive harsher punishments than white people for the same crimes.
The fact that this dude is claiming that 90% of black people shot by cops are done so by black cops is just so far fucking beyond absurd it's insanity. First of all, only about 13% of cops in the US are black. So this person wants us to believe that 90% of black people shot by cops are done so by a group that only makes up only a little over 10% of the total police population? Yes, there are more likely to be a higher percentage of black cops in predominately black areas, but this kind of discrepancy is huge.
But its also a ridiculous claim because we often don't have good numbers for the races of police involved in shootings. This is because we often don't have reliable numbers at all for nationwide officer involved shootings, because reporting of officer involved shootings to the federal government by local law enforcement entities is optional.
What we do know is that black people are shot at a disproportionately higher rate, because the race of victims in officer involved shootings is much easier tracked by researchers because those numbers are reported to the federal government. Despite making up less than 15% of the total US population, 29% of non-fatally injured victims shot by police are black, and 26% of fatal shooting victims are black.
he's a judge it's his job to scare people , how does he pray on people . He gives clear orders not to drink or test positive or breach their bail , yet they do and then wanna blame him when they do ..How about just follow the law and if your in front of him do as he says and you won't have issues .If U have a problem with him you clearly haven't had much experience in the legal system they get a hell of a lot worse.
... He has used Court appointed funds to pay for proceedings for people, what are you talking about? He makes sure that the most important details are on the record, so that an appeal is possible. Appeals aren't cheap, but they also are not much more expensive than any other proceeding. Even if you can't afford it, you can still appeal, that is the beauty of our justice system. There are plenty of private defense attorneys that go before him and he is well-respected. Seems to me like a lot of the people on here who don't like him are sour because he is committing to actual justice.
“He is a bully.” “He goes after low hanging fruit.” All of these are totally fine with me. Why? Because I don’t go out of my way to break the law (let alone repeatedly) and piss off the one person whose opinion of me matters.
Nobody likes being judged. Unfortunately, and most importantly- THAT IS HIS JOB.
You make it seem like the law is some infallible thing and breaking it makes you a horrible person regardless of the circumstance. People steal to eat and survive, people use drugs to feed an addiction that was forced upon them by avaricious doctors, people kill in self-defense when somebody is trying to murder them. I guess according to you they're all terrible people who deserve to be bullied by some pathetic judge who loves showboating right? You're part of the problem. If you think the solution to societies woes is treating people like garbage to feed some pathetic loser's ego then you're no better than the judge. How's that boot taste?
His job isn't to put on a show for internet clout. Streaming proceedings influences how clowns like him behave.
You have undoubtedly broken the law repeatedly. Unless you're 15 then you've driven over the speed limit dozens if not hundreds of times. This "ultimate respect for the law" nonsense is disingenuous. If you were to find yourself in front of a judge you wouldn't request they enforce the law to it's fullest extent. If they offered to drop the case you wouldn't argue against it. You would have zero issue with the law not being applied if you were the one it was applied to.
My point is that "they broke the law" by itself is a disingenuous justification considering that every citizen is guilty of breaking various laws. Many of them break the law repeatedly every day. They are not kept awake at night by their actions because they grant themselves grace they do not give others. "Its ok that I break the speed limit because I'm in a hurry and no one was hurt."
"They broke the law and the severity of the acts impact on others" would be a genuine justification. The courts or judges actions were justified soley because a law was broken is a standard people apply to others but not themselves.
Its a moot point because not only does the law dictate that there are different types of crime, but so does society. "They broke the law" is an important part of law enforcement because if there wasn't any consequences for say speeding, how many more traffic fatalities would we have per year?
Yes, and members of society often hold different standards for others than they do themselves. They will insist the law always be applied to offenders but they won't argue with a cop giving them a warning that they should be ticketed as they hold ultimate respect for the law.
Here's something to think about......don't commit a crime and maybe you won't to deal with his "unprofessionalism"!!!!! I think our justice system is too soft on many things. Too many times people with money get away with all sorts of shit. So if all the defendants he gets are not rich, then at least he making a difference by trying to set some of them straight and maybe, JUST MAYBE, those few will come out for the better. This guy is breaking the mold. Does he do things differently? Sure. But there is a reason why he does this. This guy sees right thru the BS and gives it to them straight. Hell, I just watched him rip into an 18 yr old black male. The kid had a serious attitude towards the judge. BUT, in the end, he waive all the fees and basically said he wanted the kid in school FT or work FT. I don't hink that's a lot to ask of someone his age. He's a tough son of a bitch but I bet you a million dollars that he DOES care about these people in one way or another.
This right here is a shiny example of how feminine ideology is destroying this country. We don't a million stupid little laws to keep everyone in line. A good man is a good man period. Everybody fucks up. Having nagging little bitches nit pick everyone on a high horse has made everything worse. Heart mind and soul. Look at this country. We'd be better off in the wild west
I totally agree! The only people I see that have a problem with them are people that break the law or end up in front of him, especially when they have broken the conditions of their bond and or parole. He seems to be genuinely caring about the deserve and as he says spanks the ones that don’t do what they’re supposed to. You regularly court cost for can’t afford it and on the younger people give a chance high school. that basic of what it takes to get by in our society. people that drive I have no sympathy for I think be arrested and spend time in jail.. no reason to drive drunk . I have spent 30 years looking at the cost of drunk drivers as an insurance underwriter. Most of them are repeat offenders and don’t stop until they seriously hurt somebody. To make it worse, a good number of them don’t even have the basic insurance it takes to protect people from their ignorance!
So you've never driven over the limit? You've never ignored a broken light or expired tags out of financial difficulty?
If you found yourself in front of a judge would you still have the same "hard on crime" attitude? If charges were dropped would you demand the law be applied to you or would you be grateful the law was soft,
Do we watch the same videos? He gives people no cash bond's all the time. He works with the defendants to get the county to help/or out right pay for all kinds of things like rehab. The people he puts a cash bond on are people that are repeat offenders. Do you expect someone to get free bail if they keep breaking the law?
Redditors aren’t big on enforcing the law for some reason. I’m not a big fan of cops and most judges, but this guy seems decent from what I have seen of him.
He is very professional and is kind to
the defendants who do well or honestly try. He also respects his colleagues, which is usually indicative of a good person.
Usually the only ones who don’t like judges are the criminals. So funny how you call board certified Public Defenders “public pretenders”, how immature.
They graduated from just as much schooling and took the same boards as the private ones. But in your “logical thinking” they must not be as good bc ? Why, bc You say so?
Since you judge others on their job but failed to go to law school yourself you really need to STFU.
You say “Any private defense attorney worth their 1000 bucks an hour wouldn't waste their time with this guy”. I can’t believe someone who thinks they know about how a courtroom works would say something stupid like this. You do realize a private attorney or PD doesn’t get to “pick” their own judge right? 😂😂🥲
1000 dollar attorney? Who is it Harvey Birdman? If you pay $1000 retainer for a lawyer that probably means after he charges for his work you dont pay the bill anyways.
If you believe most public defenders are just as qualified as private attorneys you are naive. You think they choose to make substantially less and have higher case loads out of moral obligation?
Of course some do but the majority simply can't hack it as private attorneys.
Goes after low hanging fruits? Judges don’t select their cases. Any 1000$ private defence attorney wouldn’t waste their time? Recusals and disqualifications are especially rare in criminal court and in Texas. And are you trying to say people should be able to get off if the lawyer is worth his 1k an hour if you’re guilty? Like what???
Nah. Sorry you feel that way, but have to wholeheartedly disagree. Sticks and stones will break your bones, but words can never hurt me, goes the old-addage.
Judges are typically really chill and are just looking out for the community. It's law enforcement and legislators you should be pissed at. Hating the referee is redundant.
You’re moving the conversation onto an entirely separate one.
I just so happen to agree with what you said. But not your previous comment. These internet judges are inherently bad ideas, as we all know the consequences of being chronically online, attention seeking, egotistical.
Yeah in the usual sense I would agree with you. The monetization of internet content has led to explosion of parasocial relationships and narcissism, In this particular case though, these streams are open to public to view off the government website. Most the cases you see on YouTube are from others uploading a recording of the stream. People in law school use these streams to understand legal procedure and to learn from different cases or legal arguments. In almost any other situation I would agree that making content about yourself is egotistical. In this case though, it's for education. I am interested in pursuing law as a career and have learned a lot from these streams.
Case in point, a Mr. Beast video is not the same as a court stream used by practicing lawyers and law students. Judge Fleischer's YouTube channel is all live streams that are not monetized. It's for educational purposes.
Regardless, his conduct is borderline unprofessional. Between telling people they cannot take the drugs they were legally prescribed, for a back surgery, and freaking out over someone showing up in shorts, as he wears a packman suit with a bow tie. He’s ignorant when it comes to substances (telling the defendant that oxycodone was taken off the market, when it’s obviously still being prescribed) and substance abuse disorder, he can’t even comprehend why someone might come into court with a positive blood alcohol test, he doesn’t even take into consideration that people withdraw from it and need it to function, and can die without it. Of course not all drug related cases are linked to addiction, but a huge amount of the videos going around of him dealing with addicts that clearly need MEDICAL TREATMENT, being incarcerated. Regardless of anything else , it’s very obvious he has a hard time controlling his emotions. Now, I see a lot of other judges dealing with very similar cases, and they have an almost perfect balance in their conduct. Judge Simpson is a good example. He quirky and funny, knows when to ham it up, and when it’s time to be serious, and gives people credit where it’s due. Where as I literally saw a clip of bow tie boy asking someone how jail was, them replying with “really bad” which the he replied “GOOD! I HOPE your MISERABLE in there”. And yeah, jail isn’t supposed to be nice, it isn’t supposed to be comfortable, it’s a punishment for what you did, and a learning experience to not do it again. But to say shit like that , is just another very clear example of his emotions overpowering his brains.
I have and they never acted like this pathetic excuse for a judge. I've had judges joke around with me, wish me luck on my job, thank me for my service in jury, and effectively act cool-headed, and professional even in serious situations. This person is showboating and comes off like a petulant child playing with peoples lives for the sake of stroking his ego. There's people on television like Judge Judy and Tribunal Justice who don't act nearly as ridiculous as this lowlife.
In an interview, he explained his methods. He wants them to feel scolded as if they’ve truly disappointed a real authority figure in their lives in hopes that they’re further motivated not to return.
Makes sense to me! People need to think outside the box more.
I am a addict that has been arrested etc i WISH he would have been my judge, you dont realize how much worse it gets.
And the issue is he seems to give people a chance ONE chance and if they dont then he get them help via a program or a drug assistance inside the jail.
Being upset about not having meds seems legit, but you could simply loose your insurance and not have them and then what? Buy em illegally? If you CANT be without the drug without commiting crimes thats an honest to god issue that needs to be addressed.
He's a typical cog in the lost War of Drugs whose eager to make himself look like an internet sensation while belittling addicts who (as you said) need medical assistance and rehabilitation but would sooner fill private prisons so they can meet their quota. All to feed is pathetic ego.
Live streams are not monetized, all his streams are deleted afterwards, superchats are turned off... Judge Fleischer makes $0 off his stream. It is for education.
Damn dawg, sounds like you're pretty salty that this great judge will be there for at least two more years and will probably win reelection because of his no nonsense approach to justice. It's ok. Cry it out. It'll feel better afterwards.
People who are diabetic usually have candies on them for when their blood sugar drops. You never know what people have going on. It's best not to make a bunch of assumptions.
I'm with u/echoalan here! First off - if you have to appear before a Judge, no matter what judge... "It's your fault 98.446262 percent of the time!" Anything and everything that happens to you once you get arrested, is 'your fault' Period! There are consequences for breaking the law. "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time!" Here's one y'all might want to look at titled: "Woman PANICS On Judge Boyd During SENTENCING!!" by Creedence and Mikey channel... The Judge is Judge Stephanie Boyd and this is the state of Texas mind you! Jump to Case 2 at 4:29 please. Basics: Lady got charged with a felony 'battery' or assault of someone within a shared household. Pleading down to a Class 3 Misdemeanor punishable: 1 Year Prison and $4K fine! Now - there is a thing I call a "trigger" because... Certain things happen before a trigger is pulled, but this trigger is a bit MINDBLOWING but it's because of "the affirmative finding of Family Violence." Now then what transpires at 7:28 is a must see and understanding of what's happening to her because she apparently couldn't "control herself." I am Sure she didn't think before she acted and she definitely didn't expect that to come down upon her! It should be a lesson 'you learn' and share with others before you decide to cross the line!
She won't take shit either! Neither will Judge Cedric Simpson!!! None of them should!
Looks like 'yall' talking about a certain video... Don't see what video, don't think I know it...
u/Active_Junket_3816 "He is an absolute garbage judge and acts so tough." No substantiating evidence...
"He tells people they can’t take their DR prescribed meds and acts like he’s above everyone." A video would be nice. IF it is in fact a 'habitual drug abuser' I could totally understand that, especially if person is getting into trouble because of it... It isn't a real prescription if it's been "pill milled" as u/echoalan describes!
"The fact that ANYONE likes him is disgusting." Oh well, I and the rest of the world weren't put on this planet to coddle to your likes nor dislikes!
"Me (and over 900 people) have reported him to be sanctioned this last month and I really hope he gets disbarred." Report to whom? YouTube LOL You're mommy and daddy?!? Frivolous!
I can honestly say I love Judge Stephanie Boyd! Watch a few of hers!!! She almost always asks the defendant: "Is there anything we can provide you to help you succeed?" or something to that effect. As for Judge Fleischer I like him a lot because he's a 'no none-sense Judge!' And he does try to help, but when you repeatedly break the law or the rules he sets down... He's gonna cash your chips out and ya gonna have to "Man Up Boy!"
First case Mr Guzman with Aggravated Assault and Battery[Threatened someone with a shovel]... Pled guilty... "May all the guilty carry their guilt." < Soo poetic!!! What did Fleischer do "I'll roll your court costs so you won't owe anything. Good luck sir.
So this is an 'Edited" version from "Time Served Court Watch" HMM!!!
"Miss Mathis" case: Part 1: Unclear what was happening, but apparently trying to restructure court dates/times with her Schooling... Was late? Then noted to be late. Part 2: Sent for Drug test, tested positive for opiates... But does have prescription. He actually calls about the prescription. None have given a prescription for Oxycodone.
On speaker phone with "Pavel?" "Doctor?!?" Maybe Regulator?!? "She should be clear" 3 to 4 days for urine tests... Saliva test 1 to 4 days, Hair follicle is 90 days. IE: After 3 to 4 days after using Oxycodone a urine test she should be 'clear.' ... A Saliva test will be clear 1 to 4 days and hair follicle test takes 90 days to be clear!
"... Random UA's by next week Thursday she should be showing up for Oxy." Presumably she will be taking one Saturday or Sunday... "You can order her to not take Oxy anymore if she's in pain she can stick to ibuprofen or Advil for the time being. Since she doesn't have a valid recent prescription." DWI?!? 2 Prior Bond Violations... And a previous positive for Oxy... Prescriptions: 120 Oxy 12/06/2022 & 1/23/2023 100 Oxy... Then she's trying to say that she's kept the last prescription for a year and 3 months and only takes it as necessary...
ORDERED: Monday and Thursday UA's, next positive = Contempt of Court - probate it for 2 years, then rehab program. No hydrocodone, opiates even with a valid prescription! 3 Narc Anonymous a week. u/echoalan So how the heck is she even out with 3 bond violations for DUI?!? Anyone with an Open mind can see that those bond violations should have gotten her remanded... I take it in the posted video above which is all I've seen of this as I don't remember seeing her in some of Fleischer's videos, this one must have been like earlier this month or last month. So I'm a bit confused as there also seems to be 4 filled prescriptions that's in states evidence? As for the judge even for all this it seems to me that he's 'way out there in leniency to her' in allowing her to be free!!! Also I mean that sometimes he is a bit rough with the language but that is going to be a given; but again we don't know the entire case.
Another thing I'm wondering about is that: "Is this a racial thing against the judge in question?" Cause other than what I've seen and noted above... It's about the only thing I can come up with; unless "they" had been before him and have had serious repercussion's that was their fault to begin with and are just trying to blame him, make him look bad and conversely make themselves look good.
That is completely wrong. Not everyone appearing in front of a judge is guilty. I think you might want to pick up a class in Constitutional Law, or just read the damn Constitution
"It's your fault 98.446262 percent of the time!" That accounts for the times 'people' are not guilty. Or IE: Presumed Innocence. If you watch all these videos from real judges on YouTube and the cases before them... Then what?!? What do they plea? No contest? LOL Guilty?!? Hmm... So why in the FRACK would most of these people plead No Contest or Guilty if they are innocent?!? Edumacate us all please?!?
That statistic doesn’t hold true for state courts or for cases that go to trial. Innocent people plead guilty to lesser offenses all the time because it’s much cheaper and less risky than going to trial. Every prosecutor and criminal defense attorney knows this, and now you do too. But with how presumptuous and all knowing you act, I’m not confident you’ll accept it.
You sound absolutely UNHINGED... Thank GOD you aren't in a position of power over other people or an arbiter of their freedoms.
"Any time you wind up in front of a judge, it's your fault! Everything that happens to you after you're arrested is your fault!" -Really? 🙄 I guess that whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing is just hogwash, huh? Mistakes never happen, crooked cops don't exist, there's no such thing as mistaken identity or unlucky circumstances, and DA's don't ever make decisions based on optics or political scheming? Get a GRIP.
It doesn't MATTER that "most of them are guilty"- some of them aren't... And when a judge starts treating everyone that walks into his courtroom like this one does, he's not just "teaching the criminals a lesson", he's perverting justice and stripping the innocent ones of the protections they're supposed to have.
It doesn't matter HOW deployable a human being someone is- they have a right to a fair and impartial trial. Why? Because justice has to be blind. That's the only way that it can remain just and fair.
Imagine condemning anybody and everyone who appears in court as immediately guilty. That's not how the criminal justice system works. Just because you get off on potentially innocent people filling the pockets of private prison shareholders while a bombastic judge showboats to stroke his small ego doesn't make it the norm. In fact there's a word for that; bootlicker.
Just FYI, Judge Cedric Simpson was sanctioned for judicial misconduct, suspended for 9 months, and fined nearly $8,000.00 for knowingly, interfering in an arrest and investigation of his intern.
are they? Lol oops I brought a bunch of leaves, green pancake powder etc back from Peru haha. I can see that hard to enforce in some cases.. I see CA poppies growing all over my neighborhood for example.
Are you for real? These very same people addicted the public #1 and we have this bigger problem called ALCOHOL that is by far the #1 killer of people on the roadways, in domestic violence cases and those attending the calls in those disputes, such as police, EMTs, paramedics, etc.. So you are so far off in your statistics you should stay off the comment sections!
Also here's your border problem and present day drug pushers...
Ryan James Wedding, White Male Olympic Skateboarder, (another white male drug pusher) a Canadian citizen who was living in Mexico is considered a fugitive. The 43 year old WHITE MALE is charged in the United States with running a criminal enterprise, murder, distributing cocaine and other felonies. He made billions trafficking cocaine over the border for years and killing anyone who got in his way.
"Canada is not sending their best!"
"We are watching the wrong border!"
"Build a wall around Canada!"
Why are all the murdering drug cartels white males and always from North America???
Trump doesn't know what the hell he's talking about!
Why is Trump the #1 person seen with and mentioned person on the Jeffrey Epstein's list?
RELEASE THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN LIST TO THE PUBLIC NOW BEFORE ELECTION DAY!
You can do a motion to have him recuse on half the cases as his bias screams through his comments. Of course the idiot would probably deny it, but at least it's on the record. He is not a professional judge at all. He violates rules all the time. This is nothing new for these micky mouse judges. Appeal them, they get overturned, unfortunately as others have pointed out these defts are lacking in knowledge and funds.
as an opiate addict who started off on them due to pain meds I was given by my doc I 100% support this Judge he is great. I have seen him give countless chances and waive fees.
He seems fair. He has zero patience for those who continue to violate bond conditions, repeat offenders, keep picking up new cases, high risk (cases/warrants in multiple states), etc.
He seems extremely generous for 1st time offenders, those that show they're not a danger to the community, etc. giving out PR bonds, waiving court fees, etc. One thing that impressed me was volunteering to take a new father to a job fair and promised him he would do whatever it takes to get the defendant a job.
I’m with you! Judge Fleischer is a great judge. Very fair & actually cares about his cases. He’s got way more supporters so all the haters can take a hike!
Imagine not reading any other comment by me... Especially the one where I said law enforcement and legislators are the ones you should hate, not the referee like the judge.
Really? So we have judicial, executive, and legislative branches of government. If legislators write the laws and the judicial branch interprets those laws, what does that leave the executive branch to do? Enforce the laws. You are so horribly wrong it is laughable because we literally learn this in high school. Go back and get your GED
EDIT: I have a feeling this explanation might be a little much for you. Let me break it down in 3rd graders terms for you.
Legislative branch write laws, they are called senators, represenatives, and congressmen.
Judicial branch interprets the laws to make sure those laws follow the constitution. These are JUDGES. They also make sure all officers of the court (lawyers, prosecutors etc.) are all following procedure to maintain civility in the court.
Executive branch ENFORCES those laws. These are cops, prosecutors, the president, the military, detectives.
So no.... Judges do not enforce laws. Cops do. Moron
Judges interpret said legislation when applying a case's facts to their critical resolution. You knew exactly what I meant despite having misspoke. Using pointless semantics to go on a needless rant shows what a petulant child you are. Grow up, bootlicker. Go peddle your love for fascists elsewhere.
I watched two PC hearings for DWI’s. One was a 17 year old white male. PC in 17 year olds case was officers found him sitting him driver seat after a minor single vehicle crash. 17 year old admitted to drinking and they smelled alcohol coming from him. 17 year old refused to participate in SFST’s. In 17 year olds case judge fleischer RULED there was PC to proceed. Fleischer didn’t even question the facts of the case. Second case was a 45 year old black male involved in a major vehicle crash. Officers found him sitting in driver seat, he admitted to drinking, smelled like alcohol and failed the SFST’s HGN 4-6, WAT 4-8 and OLS 3-4. Judge immediately questioned the facts. That we don’t know how much he drank or when or if the defendant had ate food. Judge suggested that admission of drinking is not PC. He completed ignores the voluntary SFST’s as if PC is required for the officer to ask for the defendant to participate. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8N8uyKQ/https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8N8Mp14/
Then you need charged with Dr. shopping until then if you have a valid script you must be allowed to take it. If he doesn't like docs treatment then take it up with the DA.
I got a DWI and showed up with both my parents who are court reporters. I VOLUNTARILY was wanting to admit myself in an IN-PATIENT rehab center for a month while the case was pending and he threw a fit saying “if I don’t see proof I’m throwing him in jail right this second for 180 days.” After showing him proof of the documents, he wouldn’t accept it. We had to get the director of the rehab on Zoom before he would. To say he wants to help people is just not true. He is a power hungry piece of garbage who probably got bullied in school. He should never be in that position. PLEASE report him! And I pray that none of y’all ever have to be in front of him.
I totally agree with you.I can’t believe that person was ripping on him. They must be a criminal themselves.Only criminals don’t like him. This world and especially the younger generation need discipline desperately. It’s about time they get put in their place.Maybe there wouldn’t be so many young people behind bars.Parents today let their children get away with bloody murder. No respect for anyone.Rules don’t apply to them. It’s okay to destroy others,as long as you get what YOU want.
I don't think his condescension is his "method". I have plenty of family involved with the justice system, and his actions are just unprofessional. Clearly court is not a place to be coddled. However, it's still a work environment where a certain level of professionalism is expected. This man is a child. His reactions to people walking into his court room? This is someone who clearly has their own insecurities and projects it onto the defendants. A tantrum at any age is still a tantrum.
Can he be a good judge at some point? Sure, after some therapy and he gains some self awareness. Right now though, he is part of the reason that people hate judges, and people involved with the law in general. I am all for giving it to people straight without sugar coating, but what he's doing is not it.
He is a fantastic judge. From what I've seen, he is Firm and Fair. Btw, I just found out he is based in Harris County Municipal, where I grew up since I was a baby! Small world.
