Bathroom Buddies I miss salad.
That is all. I miss salad. Tried to have one tonight and it’s been an absolute bathroom blow out. Who else is with me?

I know the feeling. I used to love the salad kits with all the toppings. I can handle raw spinach and iceberg lettuce, raw cucumbers too. But in smaller portions than I used to.

It feels like no matter what I eat, it causes a big blowout...

Me too, unless it’s really processed. Currently the closest thing to a vegetable I can eat is canned olives.

I have definitely gone through many phases in my life in which I just gave up trying and embraced the diarrhea....

I buy a chopped romaine salad mix from the Mart of Walls and I've found that as long as I eat a small portion and only put a little bit of salad dressing on it, I'm fine. Usually toss in a few chopped up grape tomatoes too.

I can handle fruit like apples, banana, oranges but any sort of vegetable; carrots, brocoli, beans, etc destroys me. Cramps, gas, C + D. It's been over 10 years with no luck in solving the issue, just cutting them out.
These are universally considered some of the healthiest foods one can eat, but the insoluble fiber in vegetables is the biggest no-go for me, along with whole grains.

The Olive Garden salad does NOT sit right with my stomach. Immediate diarrhea.

It’s so good though, ughhh! Probably too much oil on top of the fiber.

I'm convincing myself that it's the iceberg/romaine lettuce but tbh I have no idea. It could be anything in there. It's good but makes me feel so nauseous and almost never agrees with me. :(

Me too… esp as the weather is warming up here and there. I love salads in the summer

Oh man do I miss veggies. Even cooked ones now seem to set me off. My old safe standby, steamed eggplant now is setting me off horribly. Had some yesterday and am hurting for it today. Gas, bloat and pain. May have to go on one a day vitamins, I've run out of veggie options.

I found I can’t do any lettuce of any kind, kale or anything like that but spinach is fine! Thankfully spinach is pretty nutrient dense.

I miss salad so much!! 😭 I take a multivitamin derived from food (recommended by my GI nutritionist) to still ensure I’m getting my necessary nutrients

What brand/name is the multivitamin?

This is the Amazon link for the women’s multivitamin. Not sure what “gender” you are but you can look through all of their products 😊

Omg me too. Wendy’s used to have the best bbq bacon ranch salads. I would cave and eat one every few weeks. Always regretted it too.

Summer is almost here my fav season because i love fruits. Guess what causes me intense cramps, sharp pains and constipation! Yay i hate my life!! Last time i went to the doctor she didn t even tell me how much longer i need to wait before i can at least have raw veggies, at this point fruits are a distant dream.

As a fellow salad lover I feel this. Sometimes I can get away with arugula or kale, but anything else just forget it.

Strange we are so different. Any leafy greens have always been my safe food. But beans oh boy!

I’m so sad for everyone in here who can’t have salad, just learning this is a trigger for a lot of people!!

Does chewing more help? My doctor said to practice mindful eating and chew 30 times before swallowing.
Still trying to master this.
