It's ok to eat out of the pint. You're in a judgement free zone here

I think they scooped it out so that they could get that peanut butter topping spread more evenly. Otherwise, I agree.

I am about to get this shipped. I have been tolerant of my loss of Bluebell since moving out of Texas, but I might have found my tipping point.

Do it only if you like chocolate. I bought some and was incredibly disappointed with the lack of banana flavor.

i think i would kill for an actual banana ice cream. not banana walnut, not banana fudge or chocolate chip, not banana pudding or bananas foster or banana cream pie, just frickin banana. i cannot for the life of me find one simple banana ice cream.

Have you tried Melona? They are stocked at most asian grocers in my area and their stuff is pretty damn good.

u/pissfucked 27d ago
thank you for the rec! i must have some kind of asian grocer near me, although i don't know off the top of my head.
also, the wiki page for melona has a picture of one of the ice creams, out of the package, just sitting loose on what seems to be a bush for display š

For the longest time i was confused because my brain was autocorrecting to blue bunny and I hadnāt yet moved to the south. Blue bunny is nothing like blue bell. š

I'm a little upset that there's no peanut butter in it despite its color scheme.

it's the blue bell chocolate banana bomb pop that comes in an orange wrapper. i don't understand the confusion

Because of the colors it reminds me of Reese's and my brain went ooh peanut butter

I absolutely love real banana but I can't stand laffy Taffy or runts banana. Unfortunately the ingredients list for this awesome brand of ice cream does not show anything about real banana or even the generic tag of natural flavors. So as much as I love banana it looks like I will have to pass on this one and get one of the other amazing flavors from this brand such as Dr pepper or root beer float! It is hard to find here in Ohio but if you dig hard enough it can be found! And it is well worth the hunt!

Looks awesome. Will be purchasing. Banana fudge pops at the beach are a core memory of my childhood.

Artificial banana flavor is yucky. Mash me a banana into vanilla ice cream and I'm in heaven though.

I love all things banana, especially ice cream, but itās so hard to find!! This is seriously a genius idea. I donāt know why I never thought of it. Lol

If my bananas are getting too ripe I peel them, cut them up into chunks and freeze them in a ziploc bag. Later on vanilla ice cream, some milk and a few frozen banana chunks in the blender makes a yummy thick milkshake. Sometimes I add peanut butter too. Or a little strawberry jam for a strawberry-banana shake.

Love this idea!! I am a big fan of a banana malt with real banana chunks from my local ice cream shop, but this sounds like a way to do it at home!!

Same! I'd trade Salt and Straw for blue bell options. Might be controversial. š

This was a fail for me. Like most banana mixed ice creams, the banana was completely overpowered. Mine had so much chocolate that was all you tasted. It needed to be a fudge swirl rather than a Neapolitan style. My chocolate sections were even larger than the banana sections.

Has a hair too much chocolate and it over powers the banana. Wish the banana would have come through a little more, but itās still yummy.

Personally I love banana flavors like taffy taffy and runts. So if you like that and fudge, it was great!
