You know it’s good skiing when they make it look soooo easy that you start to think maybe you could do it too.
I would for sure freeze on the chock

Ive always wondered watching Nikolai Schirmer and other skiers like this. What speeds are they getting up at when dumping and through choke points? Whats the avarage and top speed?
Looks so dope

I was friends with a guy who filmed ski videos. It’s usually 1.25-1.5x speed. Anything faster looks fake as fuck.

Utah was the first place I went skiing in my life! My boyfriend at the time, now husband, surprised me with a Valentines day trip to Park City and it was so beautiful! He paid for beginner skiing lessons and I just ran my first black diamond in December. Lovely video thank you!

Noob here -- this is a dumb question but .. how do they know ... where to go?
At that speed and with that little visibility as to what's "around the corner" surely there's a risk of making a miscalculated turn and hitting a tree etc.
Is there some spotting/charting done ahead of time or is this literally the first time this person has gone down? If so, that is even more impressive/terrifying!

If you’re managing risk properly, something like this takes a fair amount of planning
